Not liking our chances of having any of the DNP guys this weekend.
I hope the Not Injury Related doesn't mean what I think it could mean given the circumstances.
No shortage of Hamstring injuries.
Wonder if Poltie could draw in for Shane Ray? Did Robbie Smith play on D much last game ?
BC are well rested, and playing at home coming off a huge win to build confidence. They seemed very good on both O & D. I have a feeling the Argos are in trouble with this match-up; stick to plenty of ground game and hope for some big-plays and turn-overs from the D.
I won’t get too worried about DNP’s….YET. Good news Jamal Peters looks ready to go.
Smith and Acheampong played close to half the snaps, I'd estimate. Marion saw a bit of action, but not much. Davis was not very visible, unlike Ray who was really superb. Hendrix was great early but less visible in the second half. Oakman was his usual massive self.
Shane Ray played the opener in Calgary last year and injured his hand. He then came back several weeks later but only lasted a game or two before injuring his hamstring and he has now injured his hamstring again. Very frustrating.
Final injury report for Saturday's game. I count 17 players who are Questionable including Andrew Harris! The Lions are going into this game virtually healthy.
Frank Z wrote that Harris is starting Saturday….Polite is in for the injured Shane Ray…Joe Carbone fills in for Declan Cross who is out with a non injury related issue….Daniels is questionable as well….
Hard to tell both teams have played once and had a bye week looking at the Injury Reports.
Depth chart is out on CFL.ca.
No change in offensive starters with Carbone replacing Cross as FB.
On D, the only change being Ray sidelined with Smith starting in his spot and Polite backing up as well as Peters starting for Daniel on the corner.
Rookie draft pick Eric Sutton draws into the line up this week as does Brissett.
When I read this, I was going to go into a blind rage and rant - wondering what the heck they are doing in their practices and training camp to generate so many injuries - and not just this year but last year as well - it seems to far exceed what other teams experience.
But then I found the game depth chart, and considering the number of MIA's, the depth chart looks good. This team's depth is outstanding. That is a game depth chart that can win a game. Hopefully Andrew Harris can shoulder the load. He was a beast last week. A fully healthy Andrew Harris is a dangerous weapon and opens up so many other offensive possibilities. Having said that if he so much as has any difficulty I want him pulled. Because he is needed long term. I don't want him to blow his hamstring and he is gone for half the season.
Should be a fun game. I want to see Nathan Rourke do well in a losing effort in a close game to the Argos.
A win is vital, for my Twitter sanity, I feel that the narrative (if the Argos lose) will be that they got exposed even though they'd be 1-1 while completely ignoring the 0-3 Tiger-Cats.
