Edmonton has also resigned International RB Travon Van, giving them six RBs for TC.

Van played in six games last year rushing for 283 yards and three touchdowns while picking up another TD and 69 yards on 17 receptions.
The Eskimos currently have six international running backs under contract. C.J. Gable, White, Van and Ladarius Perkins all played last year while Marion Grice spent time on the practice roster. Korliss Marshall is a rookie out of Eastern Illinios and is the other American running back on the roster. The Eskimos also re-signed Canadian running back Pascal Lochard earlier this offseason.
Ottawa National WR Jake Harty, who earlier was reportedly signing with the Alouettes, has instead signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Probably took a closer look at the mess in Montreal and said no thanks.

Former Calgary and BC Lion National DL Richard Klassen has signed for 2018 with the RedBlacks.

Former Rider LB Jerrell Freeman is now a free agent after being released by Chicago. However he's had injury and a performance enhancing drug suspension.

Last October Freeman received a 10-game suspension for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances.
The 31-year-old spent three seasons in Saskatchewan (2009-2011) and earned CFL all-star status in 2011 after leading the league in tackles with 105. That got him a contract with the Indianapolis Colts where he played four years and then moved on to the Chicago Bears.

Freeman played one game in 2017 then spent the rest of the season on the Bears injured reserve list with a concussion and pectoral injury during the 2017 season. Over six NFL seasons, Freeman has made 598 tackles, defended 20 passes, made 12 sacks and four interceptions while scoring two defensive touchdowns.
The Riders have three Nationals: RB Johnny Augustine, who attended the Edmonton Eskimo TC last year, as well as CIS players DB Adam Lauransee, and DL Cory Robinson.
