Argos should win this game, however, Thorpe always seems to find a way to outcoach Milanovich.

Yeah I dunno Montreal has been a bit of a sorry squad for a few years now however somehow, they find ways to beat the Argos. Last year's Tuesday night game at the Dome was a putrid display of offence by the double blue - couldn't tell whether it was Montreal's defensive schemes or just lack of execution on our part.
I'm hoping this is the game where the offence just clicks and are lights out. Ray with 4TDs, throwing over 350 yards.
For some reason Montreal always plays us well. This game should be ours with all of their injuries. Hope Greenwood lays a punishing clean hit on Carter somehow.
Glenn is back, so the Als should be better than they showed last week. The Argos need to score points though; it really is as simple as that.
watching a kevin glenn led offence win at BMO will make my head hurt.
Seriously, if the Argos manage to lose this game the organization is in very deep poop.
If they lose they'll need to move from BMO, The Jinx.
hah the "organization" is not in trouble if the Argos lose. Not ideal for the team, but will just force their hand to hopefully win the return game with the Als. Long season. The only major downside of losing will be re: selling tickets imo.
the team will be fine, Argos get the W and silence (always temporarily) the doubters...
Apologies if someone already posted but any word on guys like Spencer and Elliott? Our passing game could use both...
To address the "What, Me Worry?" sentiment, elaboration:
Losing your third home game (to the - formerly - worst team in the league), having played three home games, at your brand new home, where you're battling for bottoms in the seats, would constitute a serious problem.
Losing your third home game (to the - formerly - worst team in the league), having played three home games, at your brand new home, where you're battling for bottoms in the seats, would not help you reach the playoffs.
Would not help, but would not significantly hinder. Mtl made Eastern final in 2014 after starting 1-7. BC won Grey Cup in 2011 after 0-5/1-6 start. Our playoff fate rests on 14 more games.
Selling tix would obviously not be helped if we keep losing at home, but my comment was not about marketing. It was in response to the sensible and true statement that even if we lose we could make the playoffs and win the Grey Cup.
Losing at crappy teams at home will have a negative effect on potential paying customers.
A bit of a different situation though. IMO the Argonauts have to be very mindful and careful this season. While I'm not really big on the whole first impression thing; a lot people are, so IMO a lot more good than bad needs to occur this season. If that makes sense.
The veteran players need to step up and make plays. Put as many GTA boys out there as we have on the roster and tell them the road to the Grey Cup begins now and it begins with making BMO Field an unwelcome place to come.
The Pokemon lures have been set for Monday. This is not a joke.
We took DB Thomas Gordon off the 6 game IR yesterday, so he'll be ready for Monday.
I'm becoming convinced that Paul is right and that we are, in part, using the 6-game list as a PR-for-guys-who-wouldn't-accept-a-PR-salary. Players seem to heal up ahead of schedule just when we need them to. All part of the game, I guess.
what's the word on the tailgate scene? hear rumblings of just ontario place on twitter - all references to the exhibition lot are gone from the argos site too. have not heard any "official" communication on this.
first game at the Ex tailgate the tall boys were going for $4 - it was fantastic. was surprised to hear they were $7 at the shipyard (which was the same as last week). still disappointed the team has chosen to move the ex tailgate to ontario place and more or less seperated from the stadium and out of sight. i'm sure there was a reason though - what the reason was and how good it is - guess we will see
well don't i look foolish - email was sitting there in my junk folder. my bad

I see on the Toronto Argonauts Facebook Page that there is a Pokemon ticket offer too.
The Exhibition Place Tailgate is only available for about half of the games. Ontario Place Tailgate is every game:
http://www.argonauts.ca/tailgate-parking-passes/
that's what we previously had - now it's all at ontario place for what it's worth. interested in seeing how it goes as I really liked the exhibition site on the 23rd.
No matter what team Kevin Glenn is suited up for, he always scares me when he plays the Argos. I am still pissed about how easy he made it look last year just after he was traded to Montreal in that "Hamilton Home Game".
Would you feel better if you knew Major League Baseball was doing it too?

Heaven forbid that they try something new! And judging by the attendance at the last game they probably have reason to be desperate.
It's an inexpensive promotion for them. Low risk, nothing to lose.
MLB has already been doing these Pokemon promotions for weeks.
