I was just sent a video from the Ticats since I'm a member of Ticats All Access. It has Eric Tillman naming 3 players on their Negotiation List. They will send another video next week and I assume one video each week until all the players on their Neg List are named. Players named today are: Johnny Manziel (QB Texas A&M), Jason Weaver (OT S Mississippi), and Jay Lee (WR Baylor).
Looks like Tillman and Austin are going to play dog in the manager on some ex-NFL QB's that might be of interest to some teams in the CFL. They also have Kaepernick and RG III on their list. Can't see them signing any but are maybe hoping to get a high draft pick in a trade for their rights. Surely it wouldn't be just to keep these type of NFL rejects out of the CFL. Maybe.Quote:

In the old days when the Argos were out bidding some NFL teams for players, it wasn't out of the ordinary to have a NFL team get a team like Saskatchewan to put a player the Argos were interested in on their Neg list. Saskatchewan (poor at the time) lol, would have no intention of signing said player but would get rewarded by having some "choice cuts" steered their way later.
I agree that releasing the lists could help publicize the league.

The names of 3 more players were released on episode 2 today. Willie Quinn (WR Southern), Michael McAdoo (DE N Carolina), and Dane Evans (QB Tulsa). Eric Tillman said that the Ticats have 7 QBs on their list.
In a quarterback driven league, no doubt some of them are trade bait.
