Agreed, Ravi. He's the employee. It's the owners and their BOG that should be the targets of scorn. Send complaints to them directly. Cancel STs (or threaten to do so), and you might get some...

I think it's pretty much a done deal at this point. But we'll see what the CBA discussions bring. Maybe to compensate the league can mandate teams dress a 3rd QB who is a National (non-naturalized, I...
There's some somewhat contradictory reasoning there. On the one hand, Canadians are good enough to win jobs, just look at how many are playing in the NFL, more than ever. But the talent pool is...
Interesting . . . he's already played for the Argonauts.

I didn't even know West Florida Argos were a thing.
Big QB with a...
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Reilly is playing elsewhere next season. And perhaps the days of QBs making well over $500,000/year are over. That's a lot of eggs to put in one basket, and the...
CFL teams can choose to dress 3 QBs if they want. It would just mean they'd have to go with one fewer designated imports. Calgary (and maybe another team or two) have done so this year.
I wouldn't...
I suspect this might be the case.
Perhaps he was the only unsigned Canadian QB who was currently unemployed and/or willing to sign?
Without wishing injury on anyone, I hope he gets a shot to...
Cool, I'll have to keep an eye out for his name tonight. It was just the Hunchak family name caught my attention when looking at the depth charts for tonight's game.
I just noticed that Brett's brother Colton Hunchak, is in the lineup at SB for the Stamps against the Lions tonight.
Sorry if that's a bit off-topic . . . umm, maybe Colton's presence can get...
So it looks like Orebro gets seeded #1 and a bye into the championshp, while Stockholm and Carlstad play in the semifinal.
when three teams finished the series on the same points, it was decided...
There's another game coming up in a few minutes. The Mean Machine are playing the Orebro Black Knights, who won their game last week 49-0.

Apparently, Chris Merchant is not playing this season for Stockholm because of injury.
Instead, there's another Canadian, Brett Hunchak, who looks good early.
Chris Merchant was ready to play...
If the cooperation with the XFL leads to a reduction in National roster spots, there could be a need for such a league for more than just the QB spot. I don't believe that will come to pass, but...
Thanks for the link. Saves me from trying to track it down myself.
I'm excited to see what he can do. The Lions are set at starter, but they surrender a lot of sacks so who knows.
That opt-out clause caught my eye. I sure hope that only applies between seasons...
I was doing more digging around that AFI site and found the Championship series you're thinking about (there seems to be several different ones).
For club teams, it seems like there is the EFL and...
Dracs won. 31-21 I think the final score was. Merchant went out with a knee (?) injury sometime in the second half, but also looked like had an injured hand sometime in the first half.
Well so far I've missed the two Black Demons scores but caught all the Dracs scores. Merchant has looked a bit shaky (and maybe injured). Hopefully he can get it going in the second half.
It looks like that Championship series is for national teams rather than club teams.
And here is a link for Saturday's game:
...
Yeah I struggled with the same thing. But I came across live stream links for their previous games, so hopefully they appear again this Saturday.
Anyways I'll be online then and will share...
It looks like the final game for the Spanish league and Chris Merchant's Black Demons goes this Saturday at 1 pm Ontario time.
I'm betting there will be a live feed available. Anyone else...
I'd love to see more teams in Canada West get fan support like we see in Laval or for the Panda game in Ottawa. It's high time Edmonton and Calgary get second USports teams to help create cross-town...
Per capita, the West has far more professional teams (about 1 team per 2.5 million people) than Quebec has (1 team per 8.5 million people). The west also has solid participation from women with the...
I think some ex players do end up coaching in high schools, but you just don't hear a lot about it. IIRC, some HS programs in BC had to shut down because they didn't have qualified coaches. Maybe the...
I think both areas have much to crow about.
The west has five CFL teams; Quebec has one. Canada West has six USports teams; RSEQ has five (but Laval has clearly proven to be the #1 football...
