I'd like to know who stated that Manning had to cancel the tailgate in order to lower prices, and who is stating that he walks on water/rich sports genius ?
I really need to stop coming around...
Sorry, but I'm not following the logic here. Is your complaint that Manning didn't volunteer for the job ? Because this happens in business all the time; eg. Shanahan didn't pursue the Leafs...
Some are clearly still bitter about the team no longer funding the tailgate. I'm really interested to find out who these supposed individuals are that believe Manning walks on water.
Not rocket...
TFC seems to have little issue selling those seats.
Do people really think the Argonauts employees haven't been trying to sell tickets over the years ?
Upper East aren't for sale, so those will be tarped up. I can't see anything going on with the West side, since they sell pretty well there.
MLSE has their own marketing, communications and ticketing team, so it makes sense for these moves (and the more to come) being made.
What's even more concerning is MLSE contemplating more expansion for BMO - TFC doesn't sell out as is, and the Argos are selling just over half, not a good idea to expand IMO. IIRC it's the West...
Argos average is around what ? 14-16,000. They offered group rates and $15 seats for the Upper East stands, barely saw a bump. Wasting a lot more time and money trying to sell those seats than it...
Oops, meant EAST side. Sorry.
It looks as though the entire Upper East stands will be tarped up, as I went to check some seat availability and those stands are all red now. It is what it is, but I initially hope with the move to...
I don't buy that excuse anymore. Very difficult to find Argo fans throughout Toronto, the fanbase has to be rebuilt, and that's going to take some time.
Too many excuses over the years - The dome...
They need more fans.
Figured this would happen eventually. If MLSE can't get this team figured out in Toronto, no one will.
Copeland is no longer President, and is only being kept around for the transition. Zimmerman is the Asst. GM, every CFL team has at least one (most have 2).
Who are these 2 Presidents and GM's you speak of ArgoZ ?
Tanenbaum is the team's Governor, Copeland along with Dale Lastman are the team's alternate's Governors as of right now. Essentially they represent the Argonauts at League meetings.
Manning knows...
Surprised about Manning being handed the job. Not surprised about Copeland being pushed aside (will probably stick around until the business operations are moved to MLSE headquarters).
