Holley is American.
I think age has a lot to do with it. CFL guys in their mid-20s going down south usually start camp competing with rookies, who are all in their early 20s. If the CFL player isn't considered to be...
I wouldn't put much if any stock in a comment like that. He's needs to have a productive and healthy camp to have a chance.
Probably why they passed so much in the 4th quarter. That and we had no pass rush.
Too bad for him. I think he's underrated.
Presidents aren't included in that cap, so MLSE can offer him more for that role.
As to why, presumably for the challenge. I don't see him leaving Calgary, but one never knows.
Class performance by the Stamps in a hostile environment. All three phases were very good.
Micah Johnson is an easy choice for me. 11 sacks and tons of pressures from a DT/NT who often gets double-teamed is phenomenal.
Duvernay-Tardif is going to medical school. I get that he's got $20 million guaranteed in his pocket, but doing both can be done.
Buckley definitely earned his roster spot, but he also retired on the eve of camp after a team invested two years in him. Kind of an uneven legacy I'd say.
Adjusted for historical scoring, that would have to be the greatest defence in CFL history if they can maintain that.
But I don't think they will.
Edmonton gave up 302 pts that season. We gave up 428, which actually ranked #2 in the league.
Didn't help either team in the playoffs.
I'd pass on Parker. Our Canadian receivers still have upsides. As a 7-year vet, Parker doesn't anymore. Really thought he'd turn out to be a much more productive player.
He might be a better fit...
If Calgary wins, I hope it's because of a controversial play/challenge just to see Maas go insane.
Tough to read where Calgary is right now. Did they peak too early, or did they shut it down with nothing to play for after clinching the division?
I bet D'Aguilar catches on somewhere else.
