I agree as long as Ray stays healthy - a big if considering his history the last few years.
I usually get bored watching blowouts but with concerns about Ray's health and last week's failure to score a TD I thoroughly enjoyed this game.
Cross is a bulldozer who has caught 12 passes this year but has not had a single running play yet. I hope the Argos put in a few running plays for him to also take advantage of his running ability.
In meaningless game time, SJ gets what look like a concussion with less than three minutes to go and Cross is hobbling after a catch even though he's already been hurt twice. So far Ray has not been...
With 5 catches for 45 yards in brief playing time, Jimmy Ralph is putting on a demonstration of why he be getting more game action, especially with Coombs likely out with a serious shoulder injury.
Another Rod Black classic: "Jeff Fuller rarely drops the ball".
Oh no! The Argo lead is in danger after Montreal scores on a Ray interception. The game's so close at 35-6 we can't afford to put Fajardo in. After all, it's only the fourth quarter!
This is my one quarrel with Trestman. Early in his career with the Als, he pulled Calvillo late in the game and had to put him back in to protect a lead that was rapidly shrinking and in one case...
I hope the Argos put him at the start of the second half both for game experience and to protect Ray who has just returned early from an injury.
At 35-0 Edwards makes it an official rout.
Coombs arm going in a sling could be indication of a major loss long-term for the Argos.
Declan Cross gets the TD he deserved earlier on effort!
Great to see it turn into a route with Tuggle's TD on a fumble recovery after failing to score even one last week against the Als.
Another superlative highlight catch by Green for a TD!
Despite having his TD calling back because of a penalty it was a great effort reflecting the fact he is becoming an increasing part of the offence.
Martese contributing with his returns, receptions and getting the Als to take penalties.
Iit looks like the injury to Owusu-Ansah will put him out for some time. If so, this will be a major loss.
Vaughn picks off Durant at the goal-line by preventing Jackson from getting inside position to save a TD after a long drive by the Als.
Argos get called for a roughing the passer hit based on it being glancing on the head but the Alouettes get away with a helmet to helmet severe hit on Ray earlier.
Great catch in traffic by Green for a TD!
Looks like a very sparse crowd on TV.
I agree that the Argos have often been gaining only a few yards on running plays, but that speaks to the weakness of the OL that has also led to his being hit so often. Having Ray run injured...
With the Als trading Vernon Acams to the Riders, it looks like Willy will be the backup.
