Prukop is excellent in short-yardage but has limited utility otherwise. He has been in the CFL since 2017 and was in the USFL for one season and just hasn't seemed to develop as a QB.
I agree, AV. It was a short-sighted move by the Elks' braintrust IMO. Ford has to be counting the days before he can leave Edmonton at this point.
There was no way to keep these guys but it's unfortunate to lose both Trevon Tate and Shane Richards to free agency in the off-season. They provided some solid depth on the o-line.
As Scott did in Winnipeg during his brief chance to play in the regular season last year. Stuck deep in his own end twice.
And, to be fair, the Argos went 0-2 in the preseason last year.
He threw a pick on his final play but engineered a nice TD drive that was capped off by a great play - a TD pass to Marshall - on a 3rd down gamble. Dukes was only in for 3 possessions.
Unfortunately, his performance tonight reminded me of Ben Holmes' play last year in preseason.
Hopefully, Scott will have a better game on Friday night in Guelph.
The QB depth chart isn't changing after this game. Dukes, Arbuckle and Scott in that order.
Come on, Bryan Scott! Get this offence going.
Yep, was thinking the exact same thing. You can see the potential in him but he can't fumble this much.
I can't figure this out. I tried adding RDS to my cable package earlier today and, after two hours of trying, the cable company (Cogeco) couldn't figure out what the problem was. I guess I will just...
I think teams are trying to figure out what they currently have before dipping back into the free agent pool. I would be surprised to see Menard or Diallo out of work for the entire 2024 season.
He really seemed to regress with both Edmonton and Ottawa but, to be fair, both were very bad teams.
I am surprised that it took this long for Hoyte to catch on somewhere.
They can have each other.
Hunter Raquet was released so I think that we are back to 3 QBs, with Arbuckle's arrival.
To put it mildly. It has been a disaster since the East Final - and likely in the days leading up to that big game.
There are few, if any, viable options to trade for. Jeremiah Masoli, from what I understand, won't be ready to play until at least September and he would be a huge risk anyway, given that he has...
The Argos need to find ways to retain these people. I agree that Magri should have been made GM, with Pinball moving up to a VP position. They really need to look at how the organization is currently...
One of the key aspects of the Chad Kelly situation is that what happened occurred in the workplace. Another employee of the team was affected negatively. I don't think this can be washed away so...
I recall Condredge Holloway later saying that Robinson had the best camp of the three of them.
Even the 1987 Argos didn't have a lot of experience in the QB ranks, although more than this group. Danny Barrett was entering his fifth year as a pro and fourth in the CFL, but didn't have a lot of...
I think that a lot of pressure can be put on Pinball to change people's lives and he certainly has given multiple people multiple chances. However, he isn't a miracle worker. Robert Baker, for...
Likely just a clerical error. I don't think the Argos would need to move him to their suspended list, given that he is subject to a league suspension but I am only speculating.
