If you listened to some of the pundits just before the playoffs started, you would have thought that the Ticats were still the odd-on favourites to make it to the Grey Cup.

I started at Carleton in the late 1980s but wish I had found that lost cap of yours, OV.
My favourite uniforms would have to be the late 1970s road ones that Paul has mentioned. I know that I am...
Totally agree with this!
Do you have a jersey from the 1975-76 era, Paul?
I agree. We have seen sustained marketing campaigns for a short period that seem to bear some fruit but then the owners run away as soon as times start to get a little tougher. We saw it with McNall...
I have seen Argo and Ticat merchandise - mostly t-shirts from what I can recall - in the Old Navy at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines.
I haven't watched mine in about 10 years but I do recall that it is quite good as it provides a half hour (maybe a bit less) history of the Argos pretty much up to the '97 Grey Cup win, as I recall....
With the Olympics now over, will we be hearing of the completion of this sale within the next week or two?
And this only a few weeks after Chris Rudge was sitting right behind the Leaf bench. Something is brewing. This just needs to get done once and for all.
I sure hope so as this deal just needs to get done a.s.a.p. I have had enough of all of the speculation at this point. The Argos also need to know what is happening so that they can plan...
I had not heard that, Paul. Robertson was an interesting character on the Toronto sports media scene during the 1980s. He primarily wrote about the Blue Jays in the Star but did write some...
I seem to recall Parrish heading to the Sun at around the same time that John Robertson moved from the Sun to the Star. I recall some jokes that it was a trade of columnists.
I am not crazy about Leiweke either, AT, but he won't be in Toronto forever. At some point within the next decade the bright lights of New York, Chicago or Los Angeles will call for this guy once...
However, Damian Cox was only too willing to speculate that the team "may be losing upwards of $6 million per season". What is that based on? I could see them losing in the $2 million to $4 million...
Something that Shoalts is missing in his article is that gate receipts for Argos games at the new BMO Field should improve substantially over what they have been getting in recent years at SkyDome. ...
We have been hearing for decades that soccer will be next big thing in Canada/North America and it really isn't any bigger now than it was during the NASL days. I agree that it will always be a...
Here is Don Landry's take on the potential sale of the Argos: http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/cfl-55-yard-line/rumours-fly-toronto-argonauts-being-bought-mlse-201641332.html
Well said! BTW, as I was watching a little of the NHL on NBC this past Sunday, the thought crossed my mind as to how American networks really want nothing to do with Canadian-based pro sports teams....
LOL, that was my conclusion too and an easy one to come to. Wouldn't majority rule though if MLSE does want to proceed with the purchase?
Replica jerseys really should not be that difficult to get right. The 1991 "replicas" from a couple of years ago were disappointing also.
