Great news, definitely an area of need.
Nice to have a GM in place to make something happen.

Correct.
No real benefit in signing him IMO, I think he is just about done TBH.
Other than pissing off Ticat fans (which would almost be worth it) I'd pass on Fantuz as he won't be available to play for quite some time.
I've been wondering the same thing in regards to Greenwood, he should have a decent "nest egg" put aside from his NFL days so the concussion risk to CFL salary ratio may not be worth continuing.
Fair points Angelo, at this point I hope they make Condell the HC and start preparing for 2017.
Attitude and desire can change a team's fortunes fairly quickly.
BTW still don't care for Jerry...
A few days ago would have been complete sarcasm Angelo, but TBH there is merit to this strategy.
Still some useful players out there that could help the Argonauts at a sensible cost so hoping for...
I think you figured it out Wobbler, let the other teams overpay and make the mistakes then sign the remaining guys at a reasonable price.
LOL Ravi.
Glad Pederson was able to straighten Owens around and save the day.
I do as well Angelo, have met Dyakowski on several occasions at Ticat events (with my son) and he is the type of character the Argonauts need at this time.
Fuller if he can stay healthy is a...
Probably another reason Owens took a pass on returning.
Ticat fans seemed to like him last year when he was producing for them.
Pretty much sums it up.
Copeland has no clue and the players and agents will pick up on it easily.
I'm only mildly depressed now, Venable is a good signing!
Interesting to watch Desjardins and the Redblacks operate, they have a plan and execute it very well.
Whitaker always a good soldier in Toronto, interesting to know who they have in mind as a replacement.
Probably want to go younger and cheaper.
I'm sure many Argo free agents who endured last...
Always the voice of reason oh wise one✌️😛
Wait until the reality of playing in Winnipeg sets in
Can't dispute anything you've written here Gonzo.
Actually OV's assertion was correct Okpalaugo did indeed like O'Shea from a prior association.
Interesting story, you never know when a good deed is rewarded.

Ok, what would be the gap $5-10k on a contract?
CFL cap is pretty limiting and teams know the going rate by position and skill set, cost of living won't favour Toronto or any big city.
Overspending...
All things being equal don't see Toronto being the destination of choice for many free agents (too much instability) and question marks within the organization.
Assuming similar money smart move to sign with the team with a coaching staff and solid management team in place, if nothing changes in the next couple of days expect more of the same news next week.
Ridiculous things have dragged on this long, I would expect most high end free agents to explore all ther CFL options before even considering Toronto.
