Still remains to be seen if the Als are a really strong team, or if they just went on a crazy roll to finish the season, similar to the 2017 Argos.
And they re-signed Mustafa Johnson today.
I can almost guarantee that they had 2023 cap room left because of the way the year started for them. This can be huge for them if they were able to use 2023 room on 2024 contracts
I will really be rooting for the Als. Social media postings of people like Bob Irving, Doug Brown and Derek Taylor (who seemed cool until he became an employee) really annoy the hell of out of me.
I think they are a very good team. Definitely top 4 with Argos, Bombers and Lions.
I blame Glen Suitor. He went so overboard trying to sell the excitement and the last 3 minutes to the new CBS sports audience, not only did I want to throw up, but you just knew it would backfire.
You know I have always been bullish on Fajardo. There o might be scary when Philpot and Ellingson return.
They made a huge mistake bringing him in. I know they wanted a Francophone, but there had to be someone else.
I’m not surprised. I’ve often commented about his jerk face.
Maybe he will have in his contract mandatory valium doses before games. Sort of like Arizona Cardinals QB had mandatory studying put into his contract.
I was disappointed that Eric Lapointe’s group was passed over in the first place or Allouettes ownership. To me it was a sign of giving MLSE too much say especially considering how little they seem...
I know VA is battling Covid, but in listening to Khari sounds like the move to change starters was happening regardless. VA is a pretty big ticket to be QB2, and the more Harris plays the more money...
IMO, he’s a good back-up. Some guys can’t handle the pressure of being “the guy” but I think for a 2 or 3 game stretch he can do quite well.
Shiltz has looked good in relief both yesterday and in Hamilton. Former Michigan QB Shea Patterson will be elevated to back-up in Adams absence. Would not be overly surprised to see them go after...
Personally, I think he didn't appeal because they were playing BC, a team that had only beaten Toronto and Ottawa prior to this game. I think he saw this as the easiest game remaining, and thus no...
I thought he was telling him that he uses the crown of his helmet to hit so often, maybe he needs to see what it feels like.
What an awesome finish to the Als game in Calgary last night. I know it puts the Argos into a deeper hole, but I am happy Montreal won that game. Seeing Dave Dickenson whine was great too. What is it...
Sale being imminent is the only thing that makes sense. The team is looking good right now. New owners probably insisted on not being on the hook for his contract.
Agreed. I think the league is making a huge mistake in not looking at Lapointe's group as the #1 option. For this to work, they need a real Montreal presence from the ownership group. Selling to...
President, GM and HC. Doesn't get any more Canadian than that. But they are part of the conspiracy that only starts 7 Nationals. Imagine that. People that came up through Usports still starting only...
I agree with you. Although the optics don’t look good, I believe Reed never wanted to bring in Sherman as the coach, and that was a decision forced upon him by Harold Ballard...er...the Wettenhall...
None of us are at their camp, so hard to say who the better choice is. Maybe Richard picked up concepts of the offence better than Merchant did.
I agree Paul. Als ticket prices aren't cheap. Let's say at an average of $50 per ticket, they would have generated 7.7M in ticket sales based on their average attendance of 17.3k. TV revenue gives...
As I explained to you when you mentioned this in another thread, yes, Flutie did start immediately with the Lions in 1990. He was periodically replaced in game by Joe Paopao, but make no mistake, he...
