The first Google result for Pezim is that he's a member of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame. Do you have to be a swindler to get into that?
DD could have been a productive starter if his confidence matched his physical talent. But he's had a nice career with ten years as a pro in the NFL and CFL
Go easy on the boy.....but not too easy.
Their D looks okay on paper. They'll need some decent QB play, otherwise your prediction is very possible.
All things considered, the coaching staff handled it pretty well. The two rookies each played only one series, and Franklin and MBT saw limited action. The real QB competition is for the the #3 spot,...
Short camp makes it a fact. Franklin, MBT, Bridge and Prukop are getting almost the reps.
Don't agree all you want, but it's impossible to give proper looks to 6 QBs with the time constraints of today's rules.
They also had longer camps, four pre-season games, two-a-days every day, and no limits on roster size or wearing pads. They needed more QBs for that. Under today's conditions, there's not enough time...
Which goes to show that getting drafted or not means jack.
Very true. Even if it came thanks to some good fortune, one Grey Cup easily trumps the Bombers neverending unfinished business.
Ernest Jackson must have been replaced by his evil twin after he signed with the Als.
I don't know who wrote that article from the Al's site, but for the sake of accuracy Johnstone didn't win the Outland or the Lombardi. He was on pre-season watch lists for both awards, which...
Cox might have something left, but they'd be insane to bring back Lewis.
Are you sure he re-signed? Couldn't find anything online.
Waste of a roster spot if it's true.
But you read it all anyway.
LOL, I think he just had a heart attack.
He won a Grey Cup and a Vanier Cup, the second one arguably harder because he had to overcome Laval and its many advantages. He at least deserves to be considered for an open job, assuming he's...
Cato seems too high-strung, and Carter comes across as a phony. Good luck to Popp trying to deal with this mess.
How is giving up 31 points in a half not being shredded? The Dolphins racked up almost as many yards in that half as the Bears gave up per game. That decided the game since the second half ended up...
You said "the 85 Bears D could have played 5 games in consecutive days and they wouldn't get shredded by anybody." Well they had more than a week's rest and got shredded. The Dolphins had a 31-10...
Or we can look at actual history. The '85 Bears got shredded with an extra day rest on a Monday night with a perfect season on the line.
Most (all?) of his playing time was due to their other QBs being injured. I doubt the Als saw him as anything more than a guy who did just enough in camp to not get cut.
If nothing else, gotta give him credit for having a lot of self-confidence.
