I am good with this. Let's have a great battle for first place in the East next year between the Argos and Alouettes.
The Argos are likely to lose some good to excellent players but they are so deep that I am not that concerned about it. My bigger concern right now is getting the defensive coordinator spot settled....
Some Bombers fans have been annoying the hell out of me too, especially after yesterday, so I too will be rooting for Montreal.
Because he previously played in the NFL, I am pretty sure that Mack is not eligible for rookie of the year. However, he could be Montreal's Most Outstanding Player nominee.
I never thought that the Als had as bad of an off-season as many others thought. It was challenging, given their ownership situation but Maciocia did a decent job IMO. If it ends up being Montreal...
I am not sure what the answer is to this although let's see how the rest of the season plays out. I will note also that NFL scoring has dropped over the past couple of years also.
The weather definitely did not help. We tend to get lousy weather like this a few times during the season and the games tend to be affected accordingly.
I never bought the notion that the Alouettes had a disastrous off-season. They had some challenges for sure, but I thought that Maciocia actually did a decent job in the off-season, given the...
Diedrick also served as strength and conditioning coach for the Grey Cup champion Argos in 2017.
Thorpe has always had a decent defensive mind, but his personality has been an issue over the years, so none of this surprises me.
It's good to see Mario Cecchini back as team president, at least in the interim.
For a team that wants to be more disciplined, how does hiring a coach who often has tantrums on the sidelines fit in?
I watched an interview on YouTube a couple of years ago where he speaks quite extensively about his time with the Alouettes. <iframe scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowtransparency="true"...
He is only slightly ahead of the much-maligned MBT in passing efficiency.
Alouettes fullback Christophe Normand is in serious trouble with the law and has been suspended by the team:...
Gary Stern reminds me of the late Murray Pezim, except Stern actually has money.
The issue in Toronto has never been the returner - Leake, I believe, has similar capabilities to Worthy - but the blocking schemes/personnel on special teams.
For what's it worth, Jones had Adams as his third string QB in Saskatchewan in 2017 so maybe Jones would have an affinity for him. I personally love Adams' upside a lot and he and Tre Ford in...
I disagree, Jerry. It will take a few weeks for Harris to get up to speed with the Montreal offence and he certainly isn't the future in Montreal. With Shiltz playing as well as he is, I see Harris...
But does this Starke guy have actual money? I am perhaps being ageist but I wonder just how much real money he has at 35 years of age.
And they are keeping Richard around despite the late, key interception he threw against Ottawa. Nobody can say that he isn't getting a real chance.
The only circus is Guzzo himself. He would have been a disaster as owner.
White is almost certainly not yet 100 percent. Last we heard from him, he was contemplating retirement.
I thought that I saw on Twitter that Pittman was released to pursue NFL opportunities.
Clements has also been away from the league for 30 years. A lot has changed in the CFL over that time.
