......we hardly knew ya. The Argos website said that he was released yesterday.

I don't think that any of us can be surprised. The only surprise was that he couldn't beat out Keeping or Parenteau in training camp.

I wonder if Reinders' signing was part of the reason for this.

Both of these players were considered to be very good prospects at one time. Cetoute had a decent rookie season in '07 but was injured for most of the time after that. St. Pierre had his opportunities in Toronto but could never take advantage.

I am pretty sure that Cetoute dressed for at least a game or two with the Riders but he rarely, if ever, saw the field and I don't believe that he ever caught a pass.

I'm sure St. Pierre will resurface with some team in the CFL when injuries mount. Maybe at his college position of center.
