Then again, if you ever wanted to extract information from a Klingon prisoner, lock him in a cell with a wide-screen TV, and play this video over and over non-stop. Such torture might even get him to defect.

I didn't notice that this thread had became more inclusive. Refreshing!

Last week I saw Under the Skin, easily my favourite film of the year so far. I saw it in a theater primarily because I wanted to "support" it (assuming that it would be excellent because of Glazer and some incredible reviews), but I'm extra glad I did. The *sound* is amazingly powerful and disconcerting, and wouldn't have worked as well at home.

Hmm. Well, if you weren't interested in Under the Skin, you probably won't like Coherence either! But if a combination of Primer and the good old Twilight Zone episode "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street" sounds interesting, you might want to check out Coherence.

I rarely go to movies but will eventually check some of those out. Coherence looks interesting with Zander (Buffy) and Amanda (Highlander).

I sincerely hope that the guy at the very back wasn't a member of the TNG cast, because I do *not* remember him.

I'm pretty sure he is just a photo bomber. I feel kind of bad for Michael Dorn that guy got in the photo and he got pretty much cut out on the right hand side. I think it's really cool that this cast loves getting together and that they are all close after so many years. It's disappointing that they didn't get as great a send off as the original cast did with STVI, though topping "All Good Things..." would be difficult.

That is a pretty weak list. IMHO:

    1. Yesterday's Enterprise
    2. City on the Edge of Forever
    3. The Inner Light
    4. Amok Time
    5. The Changeling
    6. All Good Things
    7. Who Watches the Watchers
    8. The Devil in the Dark
    9. Mirror, Mirror
    10. The Ultimate Computer

It is extremely difficult for me to narrow down a top ten list, there are so many great episodes. I would like to know what criteria they used or if it was just personal opinion. "In the Pale Moonlight" would defiantly be in my top ten, it is one of my personal favorite DS9 episodes. "The Trouble with Tribbles" though iconic is actually a pretty silly episode so I don't know if I would include it. I would also take "In a Mirror, Darkly" over "Mirror, Mirror" but with out the original, the prequel wouldn't exist. I think I would also move "The Measure of a Man" in to my top ten as well.

Under the Skin is ranked at #3 in the year's best films on Metacritic's aggregate list from 95 critics (so far). Just sayin'...

Interstellar also appears on the list. I haven't seen that yet, but do plan to watch it on the big screen soon. Has anyone here seen it?

Oh, and Coherence was #15 on the year-end list of my go-to site (Onion AV Club). Also still recommended.
