Star Wars was pretty good, though I will admit the entire time I was watching it, I thought they pretty much remade the original. I also have a theory as to who Rey is, or should I say related to.
I saw The Force Awakens on Christmas Eve - it was quite good, and better than I had expected. I'm not excited about another pouty young bad guy, but the other new characters were very good.
I think it's pretty obvious who Rey's father is (since there are only two real possibilities and one makes far more sense than the other), but I have no idea who her mother would be.

In the game Kylo Ren states "face me ******" though it seems Disney is trying to debunk that. As for the movie, there's 5 parts where it's hinted very strongly as to who Rey is. In saying that, I can't deny the way Han looked at her at times made me question the other heavy hints. I'm pretty sure the next one, much like Empire, will provide the answer to the question.
EDIT : Should also mention that in the books Han and Leia's eldest son also turns to the dark side and it's his older twin sister (by 5 minutes) that is the "chosen one". Although from my understanding, the films are canon and the expanded Universe isn't.

I have no clue what characters and plots you guys are talking about, my parents took my brother and I to see the original release in 1977 to which we fell asleep due to boredom, fast forward to New Years Eve, I took my 12 year old son to see the newest flick and actually enjoyed it, give me a bowl of popcorn, blow shit up on screen and I'm happy.
My brother took his son to it and said that he enjoyed it, but it's more of a kid's movie than for adults.
