It was also pointed out by his critics that Tillman never moved his wife and children to Edmonton, never truly immersed himself in the city. Instead, the family remained in Regina, where Tillman last served as GM of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Tillman said his family had been threatened by hostile callers and that it was safer for them to stay in Saskatchewan. Oddly enough, while Tillman spent a lot of his free time in Regina visiting with his family, he rarely travelled with the Eskimos. The one exception was the Aug. 25 game in Toronto.

That trip ties in with the conspiratorial suggestion made in the Edmonton Sun, which reported former Eskimos president Rick LeLacheur told Rhodes shortly after the Ray trade there were rumblings Tillman was interested in running the Argos some day. Those rumblings will only get louder, especially with Toronto GM Jim Barker in the final year of his contract and facing an uncertain future.

Why would Eric move his family to a place that hated him and the fact he was GM right from the start? What if Barker doesn't want to be back in TO next year? I have no issues with Tillman coming back. If Barker leaves on his own then who would we look at? Let's face it we are all fans of a crazy league where as Nob said nothing would surprise me.
We didn't exactly rip the league apart this year but I didn't expect much with all of the changes. It would be a shame at this point if Barker did leave because I think we can continue to grow now that the main rebuild has happened. Tweak here and tweak there and we should be that much better next year. Who knows we might pull an 04 and surprise BC again to win the cup yet. Yah OH Yah!!!!

They wouldn't happen to have great motivation this week for saying that, would they? As I have also said, Tillman to Toronto makes no sense when you consider that he has never worked with Milanovich or Chris Jones before and declared that Ricky Ray's best days are behind him. The last thing that the Argos need is a Tillman overhaul as the team is on the right path as is.
    flawless victory.

The only place Tillman could end up is Hamilton. Bringing Tillman here makes no sense at all unless we want Milanovich and Jones to move over to Ottawa and if anyone thinks a contract is going to stop Chris Jones... They will just follow Jim to Ottawa. Our franchise needs stability more than anything else and that's not what you will get with Tillman.

I agree 100%. The Argos don't need his baggage, and the Ray trade to hurt their credibility. It would only give some of the media more opportunity to write negatively about them.
