Hi There...new member of this forum and long-time Argo fan. My brother and I would love to go up to the game in Montreal and meet up with some Argos fans there. Does anyone know of any travel packages or ticket packages? Or we just get tickets from Ticketmaster and book our own hotel? Any recommendations? Where will most of the Argos fans be sitting for the game? Cheers, Murkatz

Welcome aboard. I got the following e-mail from my ticket rep:

    Good morning Argo fans,

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support of the team yesterday. The atmosphere at Rogers Centre was fantastic all day long and the players have appreciated your attendance at our games this season.

With our big win over Edmonton, the Argos are moving on to the Eastern Final next weekend in Montreal. I know there are people interested in making the trip to cheer on the double blue and I will hopefully have more info on how our season ticket holders can get tickets by the end of the day. Please be patient on this. We will be sending out all information as soon as it comes available
So waiting on that info for tickets. As for getting to and from Montreal and accommodations, everyone is on their own as far as I know. Though it looks like ArgoFan1 is putting together a van of people. I booked Megabus for travel and this hotel.

With UFC 154 the night before. Downtown Montreal is the place to be next weekend.

IMO, the keys to the game are the Argos O-line and D-line. If the O-line provides the kind of blocking it did for Ray and Kackert against the Eskimos, then I expect the Argos to put up a lot of point. If the D-line can also prevent the Alouettes running backs for gaining big yardage and get some defensive backfield help in rushing Calvillo, as with Edmonton, then they have a good chance of winning.

I have a prior commitment on the Saturday night here at home so I was planning of taking the Megabus on Sunday. I`ll wait and see what the Argos are planning before I buy.

I'm going to call the Argos on my lunch time here - will advise.

In the meantime - any sports bars (anything) around the big Owe to watch the West Finals afterward? I think we will be making hte drive back on Monday so would like ot see who we face in the Grey Cup too.

you have to walk a bit on sherbrooke to find some. 42,000 tix already sold. Milo might want to do like Pinball did and simulate crowd noise at Rogers during practice.

I am sure that Milanovich will be doing just that. Sounds like the crowd will be in the 50k-60k range on Sunday. Hopefully, the Lions get over 50k for their game too. They were at 36k in sales early on Monday.

We could trip over to watch my wifes Stamps but she hasn't had much luck watching them live at Western Finals so we'll do the double header at home.

After stating this team would bow out quietly in the ESF when they were in a late season slump (please forgive me)...Sunday has that 2004 feeling....Eric England was a big factor in that game....

gil with the way this year has gone I've been up and down about this team all year. I first thought we'd win 6 games tops because of the turnover of players. I'd get excited about what I though would be a sure win and we'd crap it. Then we hit the skids for a while but right now it feels like we could upset Montreal. Sure it's a huge crowd but they could get very quiet if we play well. We played very well in a loud BC Place this year. Here's hoping. If we lose I'll be cheering for the west come Grey Cup.
