Any predictions for the Grey Cup numbers? Perhaps...7,500,000...? That would be amazing!

What were they 5 million last year with Bombers and Lions? Unfortunately, the lowest rated CFL game this season was an Argos and Stamps game @ 484,000. And no Quebec team this year, so that means 1 million fewer francophone viewers.

Were there about 6 million who viewed the 13th man game in '09? I think that this game could surpass that.

    Awesome numbers yesterday.
I have to also agree how the GC numbers have a chance to be in excess of 7.5M.

That 1 million from Quebec should be easily replaced or surpassed with an extra million from the GTA and Southern Ontario, maybe even the Golden Horseshoe alone....I would not be concerned with that 484,000 number that the Stamps and Argos had. I presume that was for the Week 2 game on a Saturday afternoon on July 7. That was a 4pm start on a georgeous afternoon in the GTA, and possibly throughout most of the country. When you look at it that way....those numers for an early season summer afternoon game were acceptable.

One of the Argos best games all year was that 22-14 victory at McMahon on Aug 18...played great in all phases, especially the defense. They did not play a game as good all season until their playoff clinching win at Mosaic Stadium in Week 18. The Eastern Final win in Montreal was obviously a little better because of the stakes...but as Dr. Leo Marvin would say...."It takes baby steps," to build into what they are preparing for on Sunday. (Give yourself a prize on my behalf if you get Dr. Leo Marvin reference...lol) Those huge wins in the season were building blocks.

That game in Calgary was a decisive victory for the Argos, despite the final score. Solid in all 3 phases & were much more physical than the home squad.

Yep, 6 million is probably more realistic. We could hope for a tremendous surge of interest in populous southern Ontario, "just to see what all the hullabaloo was about", which could really push up the numbers. Then there's the Beiber effect with his 29 million followers, who are likely aware of his live hometown performance on Sunday...which everyone can watch on live across North America on TSN, RDS, NBCS & ESPN3. If the halftime show can keep them entertained for 15 min. (or better yet 30 min.) this could give a significant ratings boost...with probably an impressive peak audience.

I'm actually disappointed there was only a half a mil on RDS. Their coverage of the team has been anemic at best this season.
Grey cup 106. Newer and bluer meanies
