The Argos are playing a much different Calgary team than the one they beat in July and August. The Argos run defense was pretty good over the first several weeks of the season and was effective against Jon Cornish each of the two times that they met, however Cornish seems to have taken his play to another notch while the Argos rushing defense has been struggling. It'll be very key for the Argos offense to get off to a quick start so that Calgary cannot utilize Cornish the way it wants to. I am confident that our secondary can shut down Kevin Glenn if that is done. That being said, Calgary has some very good receivers and it will be a good test for our secondary, they were good in August so hopefully that continues.

I think this will be a very tough match-up. This should be a nailbiter all the way. We need to stop their air attack. Constant pressure causing Glenn to rush the pass is the key.

I loved the way we limited the Alouette pass game, even with Patrick Watkins out. And also how we basically shut down the Montreal run game, after the first quarter. We will need more of both next week.

    Funny thing of note...

The game with the lowest regular season attendance this season in the whole CFL was...Calgary at Toronto - 20,682 ...how fitting in retrospect. Gonna be raucious this Sunday!!! Nice to have home 'ice' advantage LOL.

From http://stats.cfldb.ca/ a good all around Canadian and CFL in general data source.

For some reason we play well against Calgary and Calgary will have to deal with improved lines on both sides of the ball as well as Ricky Ray who knows this O inside and out now. We have hit stride and are still very healthy. I think we can do it. We have to or my wife will never let me live it down. I still always ask her who was the only Canadian team to lose to an American team. haha. It would be nice to have Grey Cup 100 over her as well. First I have to get the all nice part out of the way with her birthday tomorrow before I can really talk the smack. haha

I actually sent an e-mail to my wife and our Cagary friends with an invitation to the Grey Cup 100 Argoholic BBQ. I said come hungry because we'll be serving up Quick Six. I think that's there horses name. haha.

This Price kid wasn't a member of the Stamps (or in the lineup) when we played them, was he?

I read somewhere that that particular game had the lowest TV ratings as well. There could be a record TV audience on Sunday.

No, he wasn't in the lineup. He is a dangerous player and one of the fastest in the league.

I have to hand it to the Stamps for their interviews in general. Most of the non-Stamps western fans seem to hate Cornish, Nik Lewis and Tate but they are all very quotable which is probably why they do hate them. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw Tate taunting the Lions fans yesterday but I sure don't want to see him doing that again this Sunday at SkyDome.

AS I've mentioned numerous times they've become my second team and the Argos are my wife's second team. We only cheer against each others teams when we play, so it just happens to fall on the 100th Grey Cup. WOW!!! I like many of the Stamps as she does the Argos. I hope to see some guys from both teams this week. All part of the fun.

Is it possible to argue Price is the MVP of the last 5 weeks? Dude has been awesome.

That being said, I like our advantage at QB and our D seems to be peaking at the right time. Go Argos!

You're right. Despite having played only a few games, his speed and elusiveness make him a big threat.

Has anybody heard if Watkins is OK to play in the Grey Cup? I hope so. He's our best db.
