I like Calgary's chances much more than Toronto. Remember Calgary was 12-6 on the season while Toronto was 9-9. Since our last meeting, the Stamps are on an 11-2 run, winning their past 6 in a row while Toronto is 8-5 with a four game winning streak. Calgary's offense (points scored) ranked 2nd while Toronto's was 6th. Calgary's defense (points against) ranked 3rd while Toronto ranked 6th. Calgary also just finished beating the BC Lions quite throughly, and they were the defending champs and everyone's pick to repeat. Toronto beat Montreal who was not near as strong an opponent, and a huge reason why they won was because Bratton could not catch a pass that hit him in the chest in the dying seconds.
you do have to note that we went 1-3 without ray... our offence was absolutely brutal while he was injured. jackson was awful
had rr stayed in we may have even reversed that number to 3-1 and would have been 11-7 on the season.

in 2 playoff games rays throw for near 400 yards per game, and kackert although im not his biggest supporter has been providing decent offence as well.

I agree with you, Marc, that our record would have been at least a win or two better if Ray had not been injured. The Calgary guys will respond, and rightfully so, that they were without their #1 QB for most of the season though including the West Final.

I actually disagree on that. Ray was alright before he got injured and on fire after he came back. I think the reason he's on fire right now is because he had time to see the tactical aspect of the Argos which gave him a better understanding of how to do his job as a QB.
So if he wasn't injured it may have given us a better season win-lose ratio but i don't think it would have gotten us to the Grey Cup.

Now that a couple of us have come to add to your site, it would be nice if a couple became members over at ours. It really adds to the quality of a site to have intelligent posts from fans throughout the CFL. I remember that happening way back in the mid to late 90s with alt.rec.sports.football.canadian (I remember Ravi from those days), and into 13thman which became the dominant site after that.

Arrived in toronto and went to Badali's and the Vanier. Outside of Yonge and Front street and surroundings, you wouldn't know there was a grey cup happening. I'm staying near Bloor and Yonge away from the riffraff.

That's the big city. Saw the same thing in Montreal. Super Bowls in the States are the same thing.

Went to Toronto today to do some shopping. I picked up a 100th Grey Cup toque while I was out. Though I'll spend the game in the comfort of my living room, I might wear it.

It is pretty chilly at Rogers when all the doors are open letting people in. Should get warm by halftime. I may need a toque too.

Anyidea if people usually go to the Cineplex to watch the Grey Cup there? Don't want to go and find out i'm the only one there... Was thinking of going to Richmond Hill location.

With the Argos in it this year, one would think that there will be a decent number of people there.

I've found the idea of watching sports events in a movie theatre to be kind of odd, but I guess it is just a big screen and I've never given it a shot. Do they keep the lights dark in there?

It seemed odd to me at first, but at second thought, if the place is full, every play will get lots of cheering fans screaming so it could be nice.

I am not sure where to post here for this but since it is related to game day, I want to bring a flag on a pole to rogers centre but I cannot find their policy regarding this, I emailed my season ticket rep but never heard back from him this past week.

    anyone know?

I was thinking of using my golf ball retriever since it is under 4 feet at its smallest size and 12 or so feet when fully extended, I have taped it so it will stay under 4 feet...

According to the prohibited items page on the Rogers Centre site, its not allowed but I have seen Argos flags at games and saw tons of flags at Vanier.

Were any on poles? I will just zip-tie it to the railing I guess, at least my seat location will more visible on tv.
