    2013 Schedule Thread

Just a quick question, when does the 2013 schedule come out. I cannot find anything on the Argo page or the CFL website?

It is usually sometime in February every year.

U.S. colleges don't have to deal with Rogers. The schedule would probably be out in December or January if it weren't for Rogers complicating matters with their stadium and lack of available dates for the Argos.

You are so correct. I hear, the league even has trouble getting a call back from Rogers on confirming dates.

Us colleges have schedules out for three and four years down the road for the most part.

Maybe Rogers will give the Argos 12 dates to pick from instead of 11 , like last year

This would make sense as the Argos and Als last had a four game series in 2010 so they would be due to have one this year.

With the lack of September available dates, are we going to have a ton of home games early in the season? We know Montreal won't open the season at home in week 1, so I predict we will.

If I'm the league, I try Moncton twice. Once in June, and again in September. Lower the ticket prices to where the highest is $75 and see how the community deals with 2 games, both involving the Ti-Cats.

    Schedule Delays????

I wonder of the Hamilton fiasco is the cause for the delay in announcing the CFL schedule for this year. Last year we got the schedule in mid-February. I am anxious to start filling up my calendar for the season.

I read online about a problem with the lighting at Guelph. All CFL games are shown in HD and the lights there are not good enough for that so now the Ticats have to play all their home games during the day.

Scott Mitchell said that was just a rumor:

Ticat president Scott Mitchell used his Twitter to dispel the notion that the Team can't play night games in Guelph. @ticatmitchell: Insane rumor that we can't play night games in Guelph is beyond ridiculous. We will be and it has nothing to do with schedule delays. Zero.

Apparently it is Hamilton, Toronto and BC that are causing the delays.

I must say I am a bit surprised BC stadium is causing a delay...I read the MLS Whitecaps play there & this is causing a delay, but I thought MLS insisted on their teams playing in "Soccer Specific Stadiums" (BMO Field) only? I know the Seattle team plays in the same venue as the Seahawks.

Has this stance softened? I thought the Lions would be considered BC Places's primary tenant since they have been there since day 1.

I was curious if the Whitecaps viewed BC Place as only a temporary site. It seems that there were plans for a soccer specific stadium in Vancouver, but those plans were put on hold and the team remains committed to BC Place.
