The SkyDome is left predictably clear for much of October.

Seeing as i enjoy weekend afternoons most of all, this is a bitter disappointment to me. i forsee stressful afternoons of trying to wrap up work, in time to fight traffic, in time to change clothes, in time to choke down dinner, in time to find parking to get to my seat for kickoff.

At least with tailgating effectively nixxed by the lack of space due to condos, there's really no reason to be early anymore.

This clears the way for the Jays to dominate the local sports scene on the way to their inevitable World Series berth this year.

The 2 Tuesdays and 2 Thursdays are a pain for me. What ever happened to Saturday/Sunday afternoon games? I'm too lazy to check the Jays schedule but there must have been a date available somewhere. Maybe a bit better than last years M-T-W-T-F-S-S fiasco where we played on each day of the week.

Just remember this, the last 2 times we've played at home every day of the week, We've won the Grey Cup.

There are very, very few available dates for the Argos. In other words, I would say that there was not an available date somewhere for the Argos to play on a Saturday or more than one Sunday.

3 in a row at home followed by 6 of 7 on the road. Terrible balance.

Don't like going to BC on a short week.

Two short weeks in October as well.

I always wonder how things might have been different had Harry Ornest not foolishly sold the team's primary tenant rights to the Jays. We've been paying for that massive mistake ever since.

On a positive note, my wife won't have to yell at me as much about tying up a weekend day for a game. Easier for me to slip to a late evening game as the kids are asleep, though I'm very disappointed that all of the gmaes are at night. Tough to take my excited 5 year old to a game that starts an hour before her bedtime. Schedule is not going to be good for parents with young ones.

No offense, but that's not exactly something the league should keep in mind when making a schedule. Personally, I wish they would play all Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday games with some Thursday night games during the summer when the CFL should be kicking baseball's butt in TV ratings.

We're stuck with whatever dates we get from Rogers, so no sense complaining about it. The six road games in sevenweeks is a huge bummer, but our boys will just have to fight through it. I'm personally looking forward to the Varsity game. The other lousy aspect (for the players and coaches, not so much for us) is that our bye consists of barely over a week -- we play July 30 and again Aug. 8. Every other teams gets between 11 and 14 days off between games, we get eight.

On another note, why all the Thursday night home games for the Als? Wouldn't be too thrilled with that if I was an Als season ticket holder.

It's a really crap schedule but we're getting used to that. Sept is on the road? Thursday July 4th in BC. Short week and early for the game here. Usually it's late in the year. We have to win this before I move. Year 11 is the charm. haha. No Sat home games. That Sucks!!!

I get that for some. This is taken into consideration for NFL and NHL. I can't imagine the pushback fans would have in the NFL if every game started at 7:30pm on a week night.

As bad as that sounds I doubt I'm gonna get to even half the games this year due to work schedule, if I'm lucky. Possibly no games at all.....Ya bitter no doubt. Good thing I only had to buy 2 ST's not 4 anymore since so many will go to waste unless anyone wants to buy some off me when the time comes. For the first time in years I have no reason to look forward to the season at all, most games will be on PVR for me.

October is very interesting, if we believe all the Blue Jays hype about making the postseason. They could fit in a Wild Card game on October 1, but with the Argo game on October 4, they supposedly could not have the Skydome ready for baseball again until the October 7. They could have problems scheduling later series, but I suppose they could always change the Argo game to another date ??
