    Chances of losing Kackert?

Is there a serious chance we could lose this guy? If so whats the backup plan?

Maybe the Argo's could look at signing this kid...(pretty good wheels for a 350lbs running back)

Even if kackert leaves he could be back before nfl training camp ends. I mentioned Whitaker before but apparently he wants to go with Trestman and try out for the Bears.

    No way that's happening.

If CFL teams are willing the pay up then Kackert will be gone, Barker never over pays (or so he claims). If he doesn't sign with another CFL team and goes to the NFL, I believe the Argos will be the team he signs with if it doesn't work out. Question is who's willing to pay? Winnipeg? Montreal? Edmonton?

I agree that he'll stay in toronto if things don't work out in the nfl.

Not sure I can see him in the NFL. Hopefully he's back in TO. We have signed some new rb's so if we lose him hopefully we find another good back. For years the Argos had little luck finding rb's and now we've had two very good ones in Boyd and Kackert.

One guy I would like to see signed and have no clue what happened to him or why he was ever released is Arkee Whitlock. He's 28 but Barker has brought old backs to camp before like Riggs and Decori Birmingham.

As someone has mentioned before, it's a bad year to be a free agent running back. Everyone is pretty much set at that position.

I could see Kackert making the NFL - he is a very talented RB; but he needs to go to an NFL team in real need at RB, and not somewhere to get treated as a CFL "reject"/inferior talent and training camp fodder; good luck to him if he signs there; and if he gets cut - maybe he would come back to the Argos - who shouldn't be holding his job open for him with the notion that he will be back; find another good RB who is committed to the TEAM from day one of TC.

OVA, what is your take on Jerome Messam bouncing around?

If he leaves Toronto, there is no guarantee that he will have a job if he returns from the NFL. That is a real risk that he will have to consider.

I think Barker found some good talent in Adonis Thomas. I sure hope Kackert is back. Sad to see guys trying for the big bucks but you can't blame them. If we could offer similar money the NFL dream would die for many. I think most of these guys who make the NFL loved their time in Canada. Hope Kackerts time isn't done.

I think Armstead was one who not only greatly appreciated the opportunity the Argos gave him when other doors seemed shut but also really enjoyed the city.

Kackert and Whitaker don't have a pot to pee in. Running Back in the CFL is a terrible spot to overpay because of frequent injuries and rapid drop off. You can pull guys like Simpson and Jennings at the drop of a hat. There are 120 starting running backs graduating from US colleges every year and only about 10 of them find work in the NFL.

Ubnlikely he'll stay. He has a bead on the Bears, and I heard rumblings that the Detroit Lions need a CB/RB, as do the Titans, and that Kackertt fits there. who knows.

Twitter says Kackert is a New York Jet.

All that you can do is wish him well.

Sources saying he's signed with the Jets. Why wait til Feb 15? Agent reviewing all offers from both sides of the border?

This is what blows about pro sports. Not many Pinball and Masotti types that stick with a team for a long haul. Glad I didn't get that Kackattack tee shirt. CRAP!!! I can't say that I'm very happy right now. Oh well he's hoping that Barker can fill a huge hole.

Kackert has said on his twitter account that he hasn't signed with the Jets. At least not yet.

And now twitter is saying that Kackert has resigned with the Argos......

    And there was much rejoicing......
