Angelo, do you think Carter has the short-side corner spot locked down? I was expecting Horne to be moved there and have Carter go wide.

I wondered at the time when the Argos released Armstead, so he could go to NE, if that would start the ball rolling for other agents to request the same for their players. Makes you wonder if that was behind some of stories we have been reading over the last few months, such as Williams in Hamilton. Now maybe the same thing with Horne. The CFL might as well go back to the previous deal with the NFL. Most of the players ended up back in the CFL anyway and couldn't say they didn't get their shot down south.
I read an article somewhere last week in which Barker stated that he would like to have the option year rule back. I think that the difference is that they had made an agreement with Armstead when they signed him that he would be released after one season whereas they did not do that with Horne.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
I really wish they would get rid of the option year all together. The CFL is the only league that has this clause in every contract, thus making it the only league in which no player can sign a true 1 year contract. Way too many good players will not even consider signing in the CFL because of it.
It's us vs the rest of the country
Except Armstead, unlike Horne and Williams, departed with their relationship with their CFL team intact.

Armstead needed Barker and the Argo's , so they made a deal that was above board, that was benificial to both parties. Armstead is a class act.
Horne (sadly) , and Williams... both had good rookie CFL seasons, and IMO got too big for their britches...(greed is an ugly trait, and doesnt help in team building).
I'd suggest neither will find that pot of gold they are seeking south of the border

I wouldn't expect him to admit it even if he is worried about the secondary, but Milanovich is doing a pretty convincing job of sounding unconcerned when talking to Don Landry yesterday:
Don Landry @CFLLandry
Milanovich on secondary: "We're still movng guys around to find out where they'll fit best." #CFL #Argos

#Argos' coach Scott Milanovich on the young secondary: "I've watched those guys get better and they're gonna continue to get better." #CFL

Given the injuries to what were the more promising two potential HB's I will admit I am worried about that position now.

Huh. I forgot that I started this thread too. I guess I'm obsessed with the secondary.
