Wow what a joke rudge is! Everything that was built up from the grey cup last year can't increase season ticket sales for Next year! I know rudge and his supporters are going to use the poor excuse of having the grey cup the one year and the next year sales are going to be down. But something should have been built up from that grey cup year. I realize the perception of the cfl and the Argos is not that great in Toronto but rudge can't just sit there with his hands in his pocket crying how the Argos can't get attention in the city, he has to work with marketing this team better and giving the fans a better game day experience for the fans!

Give Rudge a break already. As I've mentioned before he's up against loads of BS in Toronto. The city is a mess when it comes to how it thinks about so called pro sports teams. I like what he said.

Rudge is not going anywhere. If anyone really doesn't like him that much, they should have the courage of their convictions and stop going to games and stop supporting a team they believe is horribly mismanaged. I know I would if I felt that strongly.

I do agree a lot of this was not brought on by rudge himself, it has to do with previous owners and managers of this club before his time. But to sit there after almost being there for two years with the club and saying that Toronto likes things that are big time is not new why not try to change the perception of this team in the city.

I would never stop going to Argo games I will always support this team no matter how bad the CEO of the team is, the thing i love about the Argos and the cfl is that no one is really making big money from the teams!I used to support the leafs before but the owners make me sick I refuse to pay for a ticket or watch one second of there games on tv. Same goes for the raptors and tfc I might watch there games on tv but will never take a dollar from my pocket to watch a game of there's. can't stand such stupid general managers and owners of a team who could care less about there fans!

Last night you have to tip your hat to all the hardcore Argo fans for coming out like that. I don't feel as if there are a new fans coming to this team which is to bad. Chris needs to work harder on his job then what he has been doing!

So then you don't have the balls to back up your convictions, which means you're just spewing a bunch of hot air.

I'm glad you cleared that up.

That doesn't make much sense, argolio. Why must Rocket stop going to games to prove that his dissatisfaction with Chris Rudge is genuine?

It was a great game last night..... Lots of fun..... We got the W ! ...... And great crowd..... Must've been the marketing! Love the superhero cartoon portrayals. Can hardly wait to purchase the end of the season comic book.

I disagree, I saw a lot of kids under 18 at this game. Also increase in the 18 to 35 group too, I thought. The Argos do need to focus on the age group going forward, 18 to 35.

Maybe if the lights go out at the Grey Cup and we use high school replacement refs then the CFL could be big time too.

Of the 14 of us at the game, 10 were in the 18-35 bracket. One is an avid NFL fan. It was his first CFl game ..... He found it very exciting and liked the fast pace of the game. ..... Now that he's moved to downtown TO I'll have to convert him.

For future Argofans, that is the age group where we can grow.... Make it a family outing .... Like the one article about the young couple bringing their 4 month old decked out in his Argo gear. ( have to look for it )

    Great point,
My wife and I make it a family outing with our 10 and 8 year old sons, just paying forward the love of the CFL that my father instilled in my brother and I. On a side note my sons were on the field collecting Swayze Waters field goal kicks and running the footballs back to Chad Rempel when we were at the Argo practice at St Thomas Aquinas school in Oakville a couple of weeks back, what other pro team and league would allow such access and connection with the fans (especially the kids).
How can you not get behind a team like that!!!

Yes I am happy with the size of the crowd last night 29,852 which was very legit. Not like last years crowds where they said they had 22,000 but really only like 12,000 was in attendance. A lot of thanks still has to go to the ticat fans for coming to the game. Next home game should be a good crowd with Saskatchewan in town. But I scared everything will go downhill when b.c comes in for that Tuesday game.

dont remember any Argo game last year having 12 thousand fans. Not that many Ticat fans last night compared to last yr. I can honestly say it was a double blue dominated crowd.
