Robinson is starting to look like the reincarnation of Byron Parker as he intercepted the ball for a TD that should never have been called back, came close to taking another one for a TD but was only able to tip the ball. Unfortunately, he is also like Parker when he jumped Smith trying to get another INT leaving Taj Smith to run in for a TD wide open.

It's obvious that the LBs (McCune, Ball, and Isaacs) from the play on the field are the glue that holds the Argo defence together once again with all the newcomers on the DL and among the DBs.

    No run defense.

Robinson is garbage and Jacksons only slightly better.

    Defense is slow.

Oline can't open up any holes for Kackert.

Watt and Barnes can't get open.

    So much for this game.

TD Kackert! However, until that the Argo offence looked fairly ineffective in the 2nd half.

I suppose some will want to blame the refs and I won't deny that the turning point took place during the Robinson non-TD but it was also a poor effort in other areas.

You can't expect crap from a whole new team year in and year out. I'm a longtime huge CFL fan but it just gets frustrating having to learn 80% of your team year in a out. This was never in doubt. Same thing, no deep threat. This year is still very up in the air. It could all work out and we could be playing in Regina in late Nov or we could finish last in the league. I couldn't pick between the two because right now we just look blah....

Collaros engineers a TD on savvy and moxie using his arm and legs. He has a lot to learn but he reminds me of Flutie. He also seems to have a special connection with Iglesias which is probably in part due to their playing together on the backup team.

I really am not concerned about the offence at all but our special teams need to get much better and, obviously, our defence has to as well. Also, we are taking too many penalties and not forcing any turnovers. As they say in this league, it isn't how you start but how you finish and the Riders and their fans would be wise to keep that in mind too.

Durie looked great with a 22 yard run and 100 yards receiving. I sure hope his injury is not serious.

It looked like a concussion which likely means at least one missed game if not more. They can't mess around with that. Inman seemed to get hurt and may have re-injured what was previously injured (just guessing on that one).

TSN and Cohon can play it up all they want but Sakatchewans biggest export for years was it's people. The odd one might actually travel from the land of wheat, mustard and canola but the majority live anywhere but Regina.
18,000 and change even with the gang green fans and my season ticket that's pretty low. even Calgary did better after their flood.

Beaten by a much better team tonight.

A few positives though i guess - Ray's accurate passing as usual; Durie is a very dangerous threat on O; Cleon Laing looks like one of the few impressive players on D (so much for a good D-Line or D-backfield easily re-built by Jones); Iglesias impressed some when he got in at receiver - play him instead of Barnes and give Feoli-Gudino some playing time at receiver; Collaros looks good.

Gotta bounce back with a win next game - or else we could see a team with little confidence and a losing streak in the making.

Too many penalties, too often allowing second down conversions, giving up 2 big plays, and an offence that was dormant for half the game. The O is not carrying the team enough to compensate the learning curve on defence.

We have a lot of room to improve on special teams and defence. Last years team took a while to gel and this years is looking very similar. Lets hook they peak at the right time again.

Collaros looked VERY impressive, reminds me of Casey Printers in his MOP year (lets hope Ray stays healthy! and that Collaros isn't the basket case printers is lol). It was only drive in garbage time but boy did he make the most of it, the kid wants to play and could very likely be a starting QB in the league next year for the redblacks. Anyone know what his contract is?

Any word what's with Bradwell's injury? He is solid on STs and I think they miss him badly. Reminds me of last year when we signed Spencer and Boulay just to be on specials after a few weeks.

Watching at the stadium tonight I really had a sinking feeling that we simply have lost too much talent, experience and most importantly chemistry on defence. Last years D seemed to be on the same page and knew they could count on each other aside from the fact that they were all damn good football players (McCollough-Armstead-Kuale-Younger-Horne-Flemons-Huntley-Foley). You can have the best defensive schemes in football but if you don't have the talent and or experience to make it happen you are completely screwed!!!

Our rushing defense allowed 224 yards on the ground tonight which is unacceptable. Durant's yardage totals weren't as high as I might have initially anticipated, but those huge breakdowns in coverage to Smith killed us in the end. I do have reservations about the offence. The offensive line wasn't great for the second week in a row and Ricky took way too many hits for my liking. Saskatchewan also played a physical game that our receivers had a bit of trouble with.

Unfortunate about Durie and Inman because I thought both were good this evening. With the prior injury to Romby Bryant those would be significant losses. Are Watt and Barnes simply not getting open or is it a case of the wide side receivers or Ricky just not having the time to go deep?

Saskatchewan is playing better football at this point early in the season. Their defense is physical and their offense is operating well on all facets. They started 3-0 last year and that didn't sustain itself so we'll see...

The Argos were also 1-2 at this point last year with several of the same problems showing themselves. While I am definitely concerned with some of the things I see I'm not at the 1argoholic panic mode yet.

With the reffing, I didn't like it either, but the effort wasn't there in other areas. I can't argue the impact it seemingly had on the game so that's the toughie. I am acknowledging that the call by the ref was the turning point, but I don't want to sond like I am blaming the loss on the refs.

Did that group not start to gel until the end of the year though? I don't deny the losses were significant, but there were times early in the season last year when the defense didn't look terrific.
