    Anybody collect these?

Was out at Meisners Flea Mrket near Hamilton this Sunday and found these Mini Helmets? I vaguely remember my evil no fun leaguer brother collecting the nfl version when we were kids in the 80's from gumball machines. Never knew there were CFL versions. I want to find more. Anyone here collect them?

    Very cool.

I don't collect these, but if I ever see any, I am going to start.

    Great shot glasses for camping.

The face-guard should allow you to finish your shot,

in case you are attacked by a cougar, in the wild.

    Cats are cool.

You were evidently heavy into the weed yesterday Midnight.

Did they have other CFL collectables at this place?

These were free in a box of cereal (can't remember which brand) in the early 1970's. I still have the Calgary one after 40 years. The facemask, logos, and stripes were not attached so if some of these are missing or are crooked, that is why.

Actually, the word you are attempting to spell, is heavily.

Though honestly, I don't smoke a whole lot during the week. I save that for weekends up north.

The thing is, it is usually booze that gets me into trouble around here. I like to have a drink-fest at least once a week during the week, if I'm not working (freelance) the next day, to, as the Japanese say, keep the demons away. Luckily, my charming Moon-in-Leo personality, and my occasional humour, make me a lovable, and generally forgivable character, and so far I've managed to survive on this forum (for now).

I have old Dairy Queen ones that were a little bigger. You could get ice cream in them in the 70's. Just packed them the other day for our move. I'm missing a couple of teams. I'll collect cool CFL stuff no matter the team.

    Cool

If anyone has a vintage, Robert Baker jock-protecter (Double-Blue, with the original Argos logo on it), please PM me, if you want to sell it. I hope to give it to a friend of mine, so that his kids can use it to climb up and down it, in his backyard.

I don't want to sell but I think you're right about them being impossible to find. I check ebay every day for CFL items, I go to a sports memoribilia show at the International Centre twice a year, and I'm always going to stores like Value Village and have never seen any.

Ya, i also hit the international centre show once a year (biggest in n. america i hear) on the look out for CFL stuff. Usually see 1 or 2 booths dedicated to the Great Game. My hockey buddies are in heaven though.

Those are great! I'd love to get these someday. I know my brother got an NFL one in the early 90s. It was the Buccaneers. Looked cool, but probably the worst team you could get. I had a Cincinnati Reds baseball cap from a similar vending machine. We'd put them on my sister's Barbie/Ken dolls.

Are the logos on these ones stickers or printed on? (Nevermind, argofandave had the answer)
