Sometimes with the Argos expect the unexpected, makes you wonder what the hell is going on, similar feeling to last year with Boyd. Head scratcher for sure!!!

I agree. Obviously they have their reasons and they are negative comments towards Isaac and that is why they are not saying anything but he was an integral member of the team and I do think that the fans deserve more of an answer.

The timing of this move - right before a long break - suggests to me that they've been thinking about it for a while and that it isn't about any specific incident in the last game.

O'Shea never wanted to go to Hamilton the second time (and had no choice the first time either as they drafted him). It was John Huard that had no use for him. Anything that happened during the Huard term really should be stricken from the records.

For the fringe type Argo or CFL fan this is what looks bush. You can't figure this shite out in training camp?
I've been a fan for too many years to count and it just seems way too cut throat as does pro sports in general these days. Man don't fart in the locker room or you'll be cut. I don't even know this team. I can't keep up with the changes.

Sometimes you don't know if a guy has lost a step until you get into the regular season when everyone is playing all of their starters. The Argos, rightly or wrongly, weren't able to discover until after the regular season began that Isaac could no longer do what they needed him to do.

If you remember back to 2008, a lot of guys on that veteran Argo defence seemed to lose a step at the same time and by the time that they actually started making wholesale personnel changes, it was too late.

As for roster changes, I believe that the CFL is no worse than any other major pro sports league today in regards to that.

AV...Edmonton actually drafted O,Shea but he never played a down for them. I agree about the Huard era being removed from history!!!

This release is certainly shocking but the coaches must feel as though Isaac's play has dropped off this season and that there are players who could do a better job and be a better fit for what Jones wants to do. I would expect Isaac to get picked up by another team with Hamilton being a strong possibility.

Ravi do you think there will be any Wayne Parrish type articles in the Toronto papers??? I doubt it.

Fungi, I sincerely hope you buy and enjoy the book. Mike O'Shea was between 11 and 13 years old during the period I'm writing about, so he's not in it.
