So the Argos aren't the only victims of this schedule? Mind you the CFL was smart enough to put the Lions/Bombers game on the holiday Monday.

with Tuesday's game that makes a game every 3 days during the bye weeks. I like it in the sense that we don't go too long without cfl football. our next tilt falls on Lori Bursey's birthday. we'll see in how giving a mood the als will be. In the meantime it will be an excellent opportunity to see our eastern rivals fall to 1-5 and leave the als and argos to battle for top spot as it should be. we got 3 of our next 5 against TO.

Edmonton looks putrid against Hamilton, Kavis Reed won't have long to go after this game.
Reilly's also won't last too long if he keeps exposing himself to those horrendous hits!!

Grant Shaw, for at least the third time over the last two seasons, misses a potential game-winning FG on the final play of the game and the Esks lose another heartbreaker.

What the hell was Austin doing throwing on second down?

At least the East is waking up.

If I remember correctly, the Esks have been bringing in other kickers.... Shaw needs guidance.

He's still living in the 4 down world? He's thinking they're behind? He's been living in Hamilton too long? He wanted to show Reilly how it's done? Even I agree that he shouldn't have been throwing at this stage of the game.

No kidding...With 25 seconds left, have the qb drop back and run around for 3 or 4 seconds. Then take 19 seconds off the clock and do it again (or punt if you have to) and Edmonton doesn't get an offensive play. Maybe he forgot about the rule that a team can only take 1 time out in the last 3 minutes of a game, and thought Edmonton still had a 2nd one? That is the only thing I can think of.

Hamilton was mighty fortunate to come out of Edmonton with a victory. I'd still have questions about my defense after that one even though they played well in spurts. That Ellingson seems to be quite a find for them though.

The Eskimos could potentially be .500 right now having lost two games in the final seconds, but instead they are 1-5 with the fanbase having little patience with Mr. Consequences. Does this Eskimo team remind you of any other CFL team in history Mr. Woods?

Kavis Reed looks like a very defeated coach right now. I almost expect to see him break down and cry every time the camera is on him.

With their bye week coming up, it'll be interesting to see if the Shmoes decide to make a HC change. If they do, that would mean 2 straight weeks in which the Argos would play a team with a replacement coach. Maybe Greg Marshall gets a second HC opportunity?

I was thinking that too. Whatever the reason, they should have closed out that game with a lot less drama.

Didn't Kavis recently sign a contract extension? I think he misses having Ricky Ray on his team.

Didn't the colour guy say that "taking a sack" would be a worst case scenario for the Cats on that play?

Anyhow. Did anyone else figure Shaw had no chance to kick the winner just because "the Verse" seems to hate Kavis right now?

Austin is lucky that Shaw missed the FG at the end or else he would be facing a lot of heat today for that case of poor clock management. That was certainly a perplexing decision.

Wouldn't be the first stupid thing Glen Suitor ever said. This is the same guy that for years would say a team can run 5 or 6 plays in 20 seconds. At least he doesn't say that nonsense anymore.

Actually that would have benefited the Ticats as long as Burris held on to the ball.
