    Juicy for the media

Not a quarterback controversy in Calgary, but a triple quarterback controversy. I'm sure there will be Glenn, Tate and Mitchell camps!

I really, really doubt there are any media members or fans in Glenn's camp.

Hopefully for the sake of Calgary fans, this isn't turned into a negative thing. There was a time in this league when it was thought to be a good thing to have more than one competent QB. The media always seems to invoke the words "QB controversy" today in these kinds of situations and the QBs themselves often don't have the team-first attitude that the likes of Holloway, Barnes, Wilkinson, Lemmerman and Wade had.

I almost get the sense that the media doesn't allow for it not to become an issue. I refer to the line in Paul's book wherein the context of the amicable relationship between Barnes and Holloway in 1983 he discusses Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick and how Smith was criticized by some in the media for not being upset that he was the #2 QB. The first major instance that I can recall of the QB controversy is Flutie and Johnson and the first time that it affected the Argos in my lifetime was Bishop and Joseph. The media simply wouldn't let that one go away although the team's performance didn't help matters much that year.

Duane Forde was on Dave Naylor's radio show yesterday and said he would be shocked if Calgary didn't protect Mitchell. It makes a lot of sense too, as then they would be guaranteed a possible future star in Mitchell, and have the luxury of keeping a vet in either Glenn or Tate.
It's us vs the rest of the country

Furthermore, Tate has been somewhat injury-prone so it makes sense to protect Mitchell instead.

Bo Levi could also have NFL aspirations as well.

Just received said book and have begun reading. Too bad there's no color but the text is easy to read.
