Bc lions new uniforms

i love them...the look really really sharp....seems like a lot of our own Argo players like them too as per their twitter responses...

awful!!! not the uniforms, the fact you twitter. ;] . seriously though, not feeling them. the flat black looks too snowboard helmet like. And as I stated already, it makes me think of a seahawks uniform for some reason. Lions fans seem to love them though, sounds like they will be hot sellers.

I hate them! Maybe they wanted more aggression as a famous study from the 1980s showed teams wearing black in a variety of leagues took more penalties. That study provoked many teams to go to black uniforms subsequently. However, the Lions took a lot of stupid penalties tonight that could have cost them the game. Oh well, they will probably boost their merchandising sales though which is probably what they were shooting for more than anything.

I hate all-black, especially in what will soon be a nine-team league with three (!) teams featuring black prominently. And I hate unitards, i.e. pants and jerseys the same colour. The matte helmets were kind of cool on a one-off basis, but they better not go to those regularly. And Calgary really, really needs to get rid of the black helmets next year and go back to red helmets and grey/silver striping on the unis. Of course it won't happen.

A bit too much of Darth Vader for me, but the Lions fans seem to love them, and that's what counts, especially for merchandise sales. Let's see how long they stay undefeated in their new unis.

I can't figure out why TSN sportscentre was gushing over them...I thought they stunk also. Black numbers with a light trim on top of a black jersey is as stupid as stupid gets...surprised the play-by-play caller did not complain about that.

The Lions traditional Orange at home is one of the best jerseys in Football imo.

Actually, Duane Ford asked Matt Dunigan and Gordon Miller about it, they started using different methods to try to identify players because they were unable to read the numbers.

Gord Miller didn't seem too enthused about these new uniforms on Twitter. I agree with you that their orange ones are outstanding and why should they mess with success?
