Breaking Bad and South Park would be my top two tv shows that are still making episodes, i find that anything on abc, nbc, cbs, all the main networks in the states are all to corny and just not good imo
Netflix has it. I think Netflix is a great value at $8/month. Usually you won't find any current show there but there is a ton of old stuff, and if - like me - you dropped cable because it just isn't worth it, Netflix will always have something interesting to watch.
Also available for purchase in iTunes. Between Netflix and iTunes and over-the-air-HDTV, I'm pretty much set for television. Except TSN! I wish I could pay TSN and stream the channel all the time. They occasionally stream hockey or CFL games and when they do, the quality is outstanding. TSN, are you listening? I'd pay money for this, but I don't want 200 other cable channels.
Let me put in another plug for "The Walking Dead." It's a zombie drama, and ordinarily I'd hate that, but I'm totally addicted. There's been some sort of unexplained zombie apocalypse and the show follows some survivors in Georgia as society breaks down all around them.
And Gerry Dee's new CBC comedy "Mr. D", about a completely inept teacher, is terrific. Season just ended but you can watch it online here. Best Canadian comedy since Corner Gas.
