With all due respect, last night was not proof of anything. It was a meaningless game, and on the deep ball he completed to Childs, he must have had 5 or 6 steamboats standing back there. Any pro QB should complete that ball when he has that much time to throw it. There is a reason that Collaros passed him on the depth chart, and I will again say the only reason Collaros was behind Harris last year was because he missed most of training camp.
It's us vs the rest of the country

Keep in mind, I am not debating who is the better QB, as only time will eventually tell. Right now, Collaros looks like he has a better overall package, he is exciting. I just feel a little vindicated every time Harris throws a nice deep ball, that's all. He is better at it than Collaros!

Time will tell though.
For a meaningless game, the head coach can choose to sit out all of the essential players on his team (*) ... or he can be insane (cf. your injury listings, above).

    Milanovich is sane.

(*) With a notable (fringe) benefit being lots of playing time for lots of players being evaluated!

(Ok, "insane" is a little over-emphatic: let's substitute "very foolish".)

The Stampeders have confirmed that the three players injured in the last game of the regular season will be missing in the Western final. Milanovich's decision to rest his top Argos is looking better all the time.

The Calgary Stampeders will be without three starters for the CFL's West Division final Nov. 17 because of injuries suffered in the final regular-season game of the season.Defensive linemen Micah Johnson and Demonte Bolden both injured knee ligaments and receiver Marquay McDaniel sustained a high ankle sprain.
A Stampeder spokesman confirmed Monday the three players will not be able to participate in the division final at McMahon Stadium. The winner of that game advances to the Grey Cup on Nov. 24 in Regina.
All three players were injured in the first half of Friday's 26-7 loss to the B.C. Lions in Vancouver.
Johnson has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and Bolden sprained a medial colateral ligament in his knee.

[QUOTE=jerrym;39698]The Stampeders have confirmed that the three players injured in the last game of the regular season will be missing in the Western final. Milanovich's decision to rest his top Argos is looking better all the time.

The Stumps have done a good job of playing thru injuries all season long (like top O_lineman Tsoumpas, other O_linemen being nickes and a lot of injuries at receiver). Losing 2 DTs is real tough, but the Stumps do have experienced NIs Legare and Junior Turner available at DT, plus a big import guy on the PR i noticed; McDaniel had a pretty good season but IMO he is an average type receiver who benefits from getting a ton of balls thrown his way, and the Stumps have Joe West - experienced and a better talent than McDaneil IMO - ready to step-in, plus that new guy Fuller and NI Anthony Parker have stepped-up there lately, They are a very deep team IMO.

Sad to see players get injured anytime and especially into the play-offs, but good teams fight thru adversity and have depth on the roster.

well if the als could barely beat your B,C,D....Z team i doubt they would have had much success in the rematch.

the game film from the east semi should be pretty useless as weather conditions gave a false impression of the teams' real strengths but at least Jones has an idea what kind of offence Austin put up against his old buddy Thorpe.
Grey cup 106. Newer and bluer meanies
