I've talked about this before and my friend gave me the go ahead to post this poll but between my wife and I we don't know how to post the link he e-mailed so I just wrote it down. He's very high up at Ipsos and a Stamps fan.

To me much seems to go by population.

Here goes.

Toronto Argonauts 30%
Montreal Alouettes 26%
BC Lions 22%
Calgary Stampeders 18%
Saskatchewan Rough Riders 16%
Hamilton Tigercats 16%
Edmonto Eskimos 15%
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 13%

What exactly are they tracking? What do you mean by followed?

That is exactly how it was sent. It must mean which team do you like? Not sure what the poll was used for. Perhaps it's just a part of a bigger poll to see what Canadians are up to. My friend had sent the link as a CFL fan but he couldn't tell me much about the actual poll because he works in a different department of Ipsos for lack of a better word.

If I'm asked if I follow the CFL I'd obviously answer yes and that I follow The Toronto Argonauts in particular.

This poll tells me that although we don't get huge crowds that the Argos are watched and followed by more people than what you'd expect.

I just posted the way the poll was sent to me. I know squat about why they worded it the way they did. My buddy who lives in Calgary and is a Stamps fan wrote this in the e-mail on 2/8/11, "So, tell me again why the media like TSN is all over the Riders and puts them out there as Canada's team."
He works in the Lottery and Gaming Market Research department at Ipsos. He originally told me not to post but about a month or so ago I asked him again and he said go ahead.
