Jon Cornish named MOP. The first Canadian since Tony Gabriel in '78. A great day for CANADIAN football if you ask me. Too bad for Ray though, if he had of stayed healthy all year it would have bern his.

Looks like Paul was wrong in his pre-season prediction saying Ray would win MOP
Argos Season Ticket Holder 2016-2021.
Very well deserving of both awards!!!
Yep, but I wouldn't have been if he had managed to play a couple more games. I still believe he was the most outstanding player in the league this year, just not durable enough to get the necessary votes. Not to take anything away from Cornish, who was absolutely superb as well.
Cornish deserved both awards. If Ray had played closer to 16 games the conversation may have been different.
TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB

It's great to see Cornish get the MOP, and in the process become the first Canadian in almost 40 years to win it, as well as the first Canadian running back ever to win it. Maybe it will inspire more young Canadians to believe that they too could be a successful pro RB.
Cornish's season and career yards/carry averages continue to be a distinguishing mark for me - just outstanding - the guy is a special talent as a RB (and regardless of his birth certificate). We've discussed this here before - but if this guy does not get serious consideration for the Marsh or Conacher awards up here, there is something big-time wrong there and IMO a further slap in the face to the great & historic national sport of football in Canada that often, IMO, continues to get little respect in it's own country !
I totally agree with OV Argo. Once he learned how to not lose his pants every play his stats have continued to grow. haha.
