Those type of stats mean absolutely nothing. I believe the Argos were at the top of the league in interceptions this year...another stat that gets overblown. As I have said, the defence didn't have a great year in 2013, but retirements of Carroll and Younger as well as Horne thinking he was worth way more money than he was getting (bringing with him a bad attitude when he finally showed up) had a lot to do with the issues the team had on defence. I think it resulted in a lot less blitzing and more zone coverage this season which clearly is not the type of D that Jones likes to play. They may have found some good players in the secondary, but the inexperienced group (for the most part) really struggled at times this year. I believe Jones would have turned them around if he stayed on for 2014.
Probably used the wrong terminology, consistent QB pressure would be nice.
Regarding the Eastern Final unfortunately for the vast majority of the game Burris had far too much time to pick the secondary apart.

I thought that the Argos had decent pressure in the first half but it all fell apart in the second.

Played way too soft and timid and let all kinds of underneath stuff to percolate.

Rich Stubler will now co-ordinate Calgary's defence: http://www.calgarysun.com/2013/12/20...r-rich-stubler

Stub is sure making the rounds in the CFL. Thought he was going to Winnipeg. But I would think he has a lot better chance being successful with the Calgary defense. Calgary could quite probably be in the GC next fall, Winnipeg not so much.

Pretty surprising because everyone had him pegged as going to Winnipeg, but then Calgary defensive coordinator spot opened up with Campbell going to Ottawa. doubleblue is also right; going to Calgary gives him a much better shot at a Grey Cup than Winnipeg.
