    IF so - a great acquisition IMO - a veteran, smart, play-making defender - like him better at D-half, but i believe he has also played some as an OLB type at BC.

    I don't know whether this is true or the result of a joke tweet put out by a BC Lions equipment manager Kato Kasuya when Korey tweeted he wasn't sure he would be back with the Lions. However, it would fit the Wally Buono pattern of getting rid of valuable veterans before the deterioration in their skills is obvious or a year or two before it actually does happen. I have always felt Banks was one of the best DBs in the CFL since his days with the Ottawa Renegades, but he will be 35 in August. Here is a list of tweets.

    I thought if Korey Banks went any place, it might be back to Ottawa to finish his career. Their defense will need some veteran leadership.

    IIRC, that's where (geographically, at least) he started his CFL career.

    Banks is entering his option year, but the Lions rarely keep players in their option years. So either they sign an extension or will be shopped.
