I didn't even know he'd been released by the Argos.

TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB
GREY CUP CHAMPIONS: 1914, 1921, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1983, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2004, 2012, 2017, 2022
I wasn't aware of his release either. O'Shea probably liked his special teams work with the Argos.

Gudino looked lost at times last season, enjoy Winnipeg!!
Remember the game where Gudino was returning punts in Winnipeg. Absolutely brutal. I was hoping he would turn into a good receiver but obviously not with Toronto. We need to grab Anthony parker as a free agent so that we have someone to compete with Spencer Watt. We have the second worst Canadian receivers in the CFL next to Montreal.
What are the Bombers thinking? - Feoli-Gudino, plus they recently signed a couple of other former CIS all-star receivers in Brescacin and Renaud, + the all-star kicker from Western.
Imagine that - a bunch of veteran Canadian football guys - Wade Miller, Kyle Walters, O'Shea & Goveia - in charge of a CFL team and they go out and sign a bunch of CIS all-star FAs to compete in TC. What a concept - just "radical". ;o)
Feoli-Gudino had all of 2 punt returns in that one game (that i recall) where he made bad decisions and lost yardage; he also broke a big gainer on a fake/reverse type play on another return. So he should be written off?
The Argos still have Durie (best YAC yards receiver in the league - by a mile), plus Watt and Bradwell for NI receivers; and last i checked there is no minimum or maximum either for NIs a CFL can carry at any position = they might be OK there. There are a number of pretty decent receivers up this draft if they want to address receiver though.
I make no bones about the fact that I never thought too highly of Feoli-Gudino. Seeing him in practice, he just isn't as explosive as Durie or Watt, and Bradwell has paid his dues and become a very reliable player that can step in at either WR or SB. Maybe from what they saw in practice, they think more of Ezra Millington. I agree that they are going to need to improve their depth at NI receiver.
It's us vs the rest of the country
I was never to impressed with Feoli-Gudino. He seemed to spend a lot of time of the injured list. Good luck in Winnipeg.
Feoli-Gudino did not get a lot of time at receiver but did not take advantage when he did such as during the final regular season games of the 2012 and 2013 season. The Argo brass must not have thought that he was ever going to develop into a pro-calibre receiver. As I said above though, O'Shea must have at least liked his work on special teams and the Blue Bombers' Canadian depth is the worst in the league IMO.
