The schedule's surprisingly impressive. Only one Tuesday game, lots on Saturdays, and the Labour Classic back on. Pretty massive gap between home games from Aug. 17 to Oct. 4 but that's the sole complaint.
Leaps and bounds better than last year. I can work with this, especially with a 5 yr old and 1 yr old. Hate that we have to wait until the last game to see the REDBLACKS at home, but that's my only beef.
Considering how terrible it could have been, this is a decent schedule. That August-October stretch sucks but at least we got lots of weekend games and afternoon weekend games, which should make a lot of fans happy. Considering the number of home games in October, the Blue Jays better not get into postseason play (not that I'm terribly worried about that). Will Nov. 7 be the Argos' last regular-season game at RC?
I wish our road game in Ottawa was not the Redblacks' home opener -- tickets could be a little hard to come by for that one.
Much better than I expected. For me personally there are only 2 conflicts with TFC the first two July games. Also the Argos play in Montreal on Friday Aug 1 and TFC play in Montreal on Sunday Aug 3 so that works out kind of nice. As well Montreal plays in Toronto on Oct 18 against TFC at 2:00pm and against the Argos at 4:00pm.
i think we were all expecting such a **** schedule that this is a pleasant surprise.
here's to lowering your expectations to avoid disappointment!

Overall, can't complain about the schedule. Can't help but wonder though what type of crowds we'll see when whe play 4 consecutive weeks at home in October. My guess is the 2 Hamilton games should draw good crowds, but Edmonton and Montreal might be smallish. Hard to get the casual fan to come out 4 consecutive weeks.
It's us vs the rest of the country
That sticks out for me too as I would love to make it to that one. Day-wise, it is a much better home schedule for the Argos. However, from a competitive standpoint, a person might worry about 8 of the first 12 being on the road. Then again, this is a team that seems to play much better on the road.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
Wow, over 6 weeks between home games in September, that's plain unacceptable anyway you look at it.
Liked the sked in regards to game days until I realized that we go twice during the season without playing a home game for at least a month and finishing with 5 out of 6 games at home.
This was written not by me but by my friend during an email discussion re:schedule
Despite the long road trips in mid summer and september (punctuated by 2 bye weeks and 2 games in a week, including one dreaded Tuesday night game) the Argos schedule is relatively sane, Friday or Saturdays and consistent start times (none of last year's 5:35 one Saturday, 7:35 the next). And for their own reasons Hamilton and Ottawa start with long road trips. Also, the extra team already makes a better league, Argos play every team twice except 3 Ham & Mtl rivalry games -no more dreary Winnipeg 4 times a year (although that was good for the record...).
Most interesting however, is that unlike last year the Blue Jays have released prime dates every weekend in October i.e. they already assume they are not making the playoffs although no doubt they reserve the right to bump the Argos...but, with a team that assumes the season's over before it starts, seriously, why does anybody go to those games? except it's a pleasant way to spend a summer afternoon / evening once or twice a year, (assuming dome open), also if one's a fan of a visiting team I can see it... others it's pathetic
To which I replied "here here"
Aaron you gave into the ALLBLACKS ALLCAPS crowd! For shame! Given recent schedules in recent year's past, nothing to complain about here. I can tasted the wood-fired bagels of The Glebe already.
Love the weekend games. It should increase attendance significantly.
