I think Zicarelli is referring to the Board of Governors approval which I understand is supposed to be this week. Perhaps a 2016 GC announcement too?

I think that you will see the new owners have some say during this transition year, Rocket. That was my understanding on the day of the press conference anyway and it only makes sense, especially if Dale Lastman is hanging around at training camp.
BTW, it is nice to see so many positive comments under that Toronto Sun article about the Argos.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
Yes I do hope the new owners will have some say during this season because if these new owners actually think for a second that if they just move the team to bmo field that all problems are solved and that they're ink they will sell out the stadium they will be in big trouble.I just hope bell and Lt realize just how much damage Braley actually did to the Argos the last five years that they will commit to work 24/7 around the clock to get the Argos anywhere close to selling out bmo on a regular bases.
According to Mr. Braley, TanenBELL are currently searching for someone to oversee the Argonauts (C.E.O/President position one would think) and that individual could be announced within the next few months.

The #Argos new ownership group has named Michael Copeland as CEO beginning in 2016.

Fantastic choice, hiring the league's COO shows how serious TanenBell is about this property. The only problem is it leaves an experience gap at the League's head office. Maybe they should hire Rudge :-)
.
I thought MLSE was going to have some kind of management role over the Argonauts once TannenBell became the owners. Is that not happening anymore? If it is, how does Copeland fit in to the MLSE management contract?
agreed with the most recent comment - shows our new owners aren't messing around.
I know our old friend rocket will be sad to see his boy Rudge go haha
Solid hire by the new Argos Ownership Group, wasn't expecting Copeland at all.
Yes. "Operations" type of stuff, but not management of the team.
MLSE management would have involved Rogers Communications, and we all know that wasn't going to happen!
Here's some background on Michael Copeland and his shift from league president and chief operating officer .

This was indeed good news especially after hearing about his resume. Hope we're finally heading upstream. Now let's work on merch!!!!!! I want to be able to buy Ticats Toilet Paper!!!! As I've mentioned before in Ann Arbor, U of M has merch which is over the moon such as hated rival Ohio St toilet paper. If you carry that you know that they have it all.
Not sure why we're so limited with brands as well. CFL should allow more brands to make merch. Reebok has always sucked in my eyes. The designs they come up with must be done by kids in a sweat shop overseas.
There's a long way to go to full recovery, but the waters seem to be calming for the Argo sculls.
Wondering where our Pinball will fit in?
He has to somewhere as being the face of the franchise.
