What are your honest thoughts about the Argos chances of making the playoffs?

Losing to Montreal really hurt last week. I personally think that we're in real tough and will slide out of the playoffs.
Way to many changes, injuries and guys coming and going. It's been a year filled way too much turmoil at every level of the organization. Now to read about yet more injuries and new players be shuffled in has me shaking my head. Strange year to say the least.

I really hope that I'm wrong but I've had a bad feeling from day one when we started with such a new team with players and coaches. Then the key injuries hit big time. I won't even get into the ownership, practice facility and stadium talk.

If we lose to Hamilton you can stick a folk in season as it will be DONE. I'd hate to see Hamilton fans party in our stadium just two weeks after that amazing comeback.

Should we crap out this to me will be one of the saddest seasons in my over 45 odd years as a fan. Not just on field play.

Having said that GO ARGOS GO!!!!!! Prove me wrong, PLEASE!!!!

Good to see you back on the forum 1argoholic....as for the Argos making the post season....after losing to a mediocre Montreal team, I am now cautiously pessimistic.

Honestly I think the chances are probably 30/70 to make the playoffs.

With that said they still have control of their own destiny which is all you can ask for. The schedule is the saving grace. A three game winning streak is all they need to make it. The Argos have proven that Hamilton is NOT beyond them. Everyone in that locker room knows how much that loss to Ottawa is hurting them right now and will be out to make sure that doesn't happen again. All good things come to an end and the Argos have the ability to will figure out the Montreal defense and end their streak.

The loss last week did hurt without question but the season is far from over at this point.

The last game vs. the Als had to be won. The Argos lost and the team's performance was generally uninspired.

I doubt that the Argos see post-season play... but feel free to prove me wrong, Argonauts.

I still think that we'll finish Second in the East. The loss to Montreal hurt but the win over Hamilton helped. We have 3 winnable games and 2 are against the teams that we're competing with for the playoff spots. Our last Regular Season game is at home against the weakest team in the league.

Montreal and Hamilton still have a game against each other so 2 Wins might be enough to get us into the Playoffs.

You guys should beat Hamilton. Fantuz is out. As for the playoffs its up for grabs but Montreal is red hot at the right time. My Grey Cup prediction is that the only team that has a legitimate shot at beating Calgary are the Alouettes.

As I said before ... I think Ottawa is going to play the role of spoiler. As I've also said before, Milanovich is going to have to fire up the team somehow (like he can actually make that happen), and get his head out of his a$$, by not saying that games are not that important. Doing some more inventive/aggressive plays would help also. You can't partake in the missionary position on the 15th. of each month, and call it exciting and unpredictable Scotty.

Fantuz is out but so are a lot of our Canadian players. We've shown that we can compete with Calgary.

I want to Argo's to make the playoff's, get on a roll, and sneak into the Grey Cup.

Personally i don't see this team even making the playoff's, and its my veiw that this Argo team doesn't deserve to make the playoff's

Well Ottawa's last 3 games against against Montreal, Hamilton and Toronto so they'll definitely have opportunities to play spoiler.

When did Milanovich say that a game wasn't that important?

After the Hamilton game, he said that the Hamilton game was more important than the upcoming Montreal game, because had they lost to Hamilton, they would have been 2 games back and guaranteed losing the season series. He then mentioned that if they lost to Montreal, they would still have a chance to win the season series against them. All of which is true. Had they lost to Hamilton, they would no longer have control of their own destiny, as they still do now, despite a loss to Montreal.

So he never actually said that the Montreal game wasn't important, just that the Hamilton game was more important?

Yes, that is more or less what he said and, as AV said, he was only telling the truth about that.

So Calgary's final three regular season games will be as important as the West Final?

No, but you obviously have a hate on for Milanovich. So much that you can take a comment and twist it as if he said the game wasn't important. I agree that every game is important, but I also agree that some games are more important in the big picture than others.

I don't worship anyone, but I've seen the likes of Meyer, Etcheverry, Stubler, Andrus and Faragelli as HC's of the Argos (just over the last 20 years). I have no complaints here.
