This year's mini-camp and practice facilities

The 2014 mini-camp for the Argos should be happening this month. Does anyone know the exact dates and location? Also, when will the team announce that they have new training camp and practice facilities? Training camp is later next month.

I figure the TC facilities will be whatever high school field is available on any given day.

You are probably right.... and thats so sad for a CFL team.
I hope that they can get some type of permanent practice field and building suitable to a pro team, in the near future. Although, being at the bottom of the CFL financially, the CBA results may end up postponing that.

Wow, it's that bad? I guess I haven't been paying attention (although, as I understand, the Erindale College Campus is apparently now in the team's past).
The team really needs a permanent, appropriate, and viable home.

The Argos announced last week that mini-camp is at the begining of may and will take place at the Tigers Training Camp Facility in flordia. As far as practice facility it will either be York or Downsview depending on what happens with MLSE I am presuming.

Anyone else on here find it pretty funny how some think Braley is serious about building the Argos their own stadium when he won't even pony up to get them a decent training facility?
It's us vs the rest of the country

Actually I don't find it funny ..... If he really is planning on building the Argos their own stadium, that is where the practice facilities will be. Why invest monies in a temporary facility?

    I would love the
Argos to have their own stadium and with it practice facilities, but reality has to set in.
Mind you, I can see waffling ( not to be confused with leafs waffling) on spending tons of effort and money for a practice facility at this point in time.

Well, what do I know anyway...let's hope Fan Day is reintroduced during TC....I really missed not having that last season, especially coming off a Grey Cup victory.

If not we could just start our own. Everybody here knows an Argo fan or two so let the word spread and we can make it happen because I doubt we'll have one this season.

I like that idea. Hopefully training camp happens and we can have an impromptu pawty.

No fan day goes along with the "running the team with minimal costs until a buyer is found" theory many share here. You have to pay all those people that run the event.

All it would take is someone from a fan club to contact the team and tell them which practice everyone is coming too. Once the team knows this, it wouldn't be too hard to bring merchandise and have a few food trucks and of course tell the coach to stop practice early. I am surprised Friends of the Argonauts didn't organize something last year. I know they have a corn roast, but all the players are there after practice and only a few make the roast.

if they were allowed to monetize it like the corn roast, maybe...
