Three more TSN feeds starting this fall - CFL preseason implications

TSN has announced that they will be having three new national feeds starting this fall so we will soon see TSN3, TSN4, and TSN5. It is too late for this season but hopefully we can start getting CFL preseason games again. They drew decent numbers but the league has reduced the coverage of these games from 7 in 2011 to 5 in 2012 to 2 last year to 0 this year (by the looks of it).
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

This was my reaction and the reaction of a few others to this news:

    TORONTO ARGONAUTS FOOTBALL CLUB

Showing all preseason games seems like an obvious choice, altho the production costs might mitigate against that. I'm more interested in whether they might use these extra feeds to increase our viewing options of reg-season and playoff games, e.g. a feed without announcers, a feed with individuals highlighted, a feed with raw sound from the field/in the huddle, etc. But given that the news release makes only passing reference to the Grey Cup, I'm not expecting this to have much impact on CFL coverage. If I had to bet I'd say this is primarily a move to bring ESPN into Cda under the TSN banner.

Great more poker, golf, bowling, car racing and ESPN stories I could care less about.

Would be nice to see CHL hockey and obviously more CFL and NLL.

Do we really need more sports networks in this country bringing us more American sports?

My concern is TSN forcing viewers to purchase all 5 of these channels in order to get the Main TSN which carries the CFL....if that is to happen I will refuse to subscribe strictly on a financial basis.

From what I have read, you might expect ramping up of sports like tennis and golf? Anyhow I doubt It Increases CFL coverage much. Was considering switching my cell service to bell to pick up TSNGo on my smartphone when I am home but a buddy told me that u only pick it up if you are a TV subscriber to TSN. Amazing I can watch CFL online for free anytime I want in the states but in Canada I have to lock in as a subscriber. oh well, I guess they gotta get their 200 million back.

Funny TSN IS on a subscription basis because out here it's part of our basic cable package as is TSN 2.

I think Rogers has the rights to the CHL, though that could change.

One thing TSN will do is televise every game from the world junior tournament.

The continual watering down of content by adding more channels that comes from these sports networks is getting to be a bit much. ESPN does it because they have the content, not only with news & live broadcasts but also with original programming that they create. Canadian sports networks do it because they want you pay more for what they already were giving to you before.
