Simple, old boy. Lung cancer, cardiovascular disease, and all of the other fatal consequences of cigarette smoking have been well-known for approximately 50 years. The very many, horrible, deaths caused by smoking (or the effects of second-hand smoke) are tragic. The fact that these needless deaths continue to this day, that is the repetition, is tragic.
You're certainly entitled to your opinion, however you'd be better off working on your English comprehension instead of forging a tedious chain of Non sequitur.
Alas, we'll have to agree to utterly disagree on each and every point.
Anyone else willing to sign the petition? Can we at least get to 100? Its a bit disappointing to get more international signees than those from around Canada.

Never saw Thornton play, but the books I have read imply he was a Legend on the field & a character off it. Troubling that the Argo organization after all these years did not see fit to honor him. Lets hope Leo Cahill's name, (his health has not bee good the past couple years) he was the leader of those late 60's early 70's Renegade Argo teams ends up hanging on the rafters sooner rather than later.
RIP Mr Thornton.
I think the honoring of players such as Thornton and coaches such as Cahill would have been forthcoming long ago had that '71 Grey Cup had of gone the other way.
RIP.
