    Injury updates

    Milanovich was asked about injured players after practice today, and ran down the list:

    Harrell: back tomorrow
    Z Robinson: back tomorrow
    Tripp: knee injury, day-to-day
    Durie: hamstring, day-to-day
    Portis: hamstring, 2-3 weeks
    Gill: "Out for a while" (i.e. several weeks)

    So, Portis won't get a chance to play in the pre-season and things are looking pretty bad for Gill. It's hard to make the team if you can't play.

    Gill will make an impact when he returns. I expect he will be released on Sunday & will resurface when healthy. Too bad about Portis. I hope he will get a chance eventually.

    Too bad Portis is hurt. He's our only QB who can put pressure on a defense with his legs.

    Good opportunity for Pachall though.

    I *really* hope we find a way to keep Pachall. His size is terrific, his mobility seems good, and he put up big numbers at a good school. He just needs a lot of polish.
