    Argos marketing sucks

When is the front office going to wake up??
    1) no t shirts avail able to buy in Toronto
    2) Chad Owens makes his clothing but doesnt sell it in Toronto
    3) NO PRE game parties
    4- no Access to players
5 quite simply does the club care about fans????

Maybe it's all in the master plan of Mr. Braley finally selling the team to MLSE?

    1. Merchandise sales is mostly to do with what the merchants want, i.e. what they believe will sell. If there was big demand for Argo t-shirts, stores would carry them.

    3. What sort of pre-game parties do you want? Argos have had pre-game parties on site, with a licence to sell beer. Few attend. Pre-game parties such as those experienced in NFL stadiums largely don't exist in Canada because of liquor laws.

    4. No access to players? Really? The Argos make tons of community appearances, and fans can interact directly with players after every practice. You want no access to players, see Blue Jays, Leafs and Raptors.

Good point. The Argos are the easiest franchise in toronto to talk to players or get autographs.

No offence but will every post you make be some sort of complaint?

I'm not happy with some things as well and I understand the frustration sometimes and I'm all for constructive criticism but some of your claims are pretty weak IMO.

I may be a little out of line here, but I doubt it.

Do you know what really sucks? Pretty well every post you have made. Are you a fan, or a troll? Just wondering.

Go to any practice that's listed on their schedule and just wait till it's over. It doesn't get any easier that. Players will pass you by, no security, no fences etc.

Now there is a reasonable question. A lot more reasonable than the PM you sent me. Grow some thicker skin pal.

    Agree Gabe
CFL players are the most accessible in pro sports, one of the charms of this league.

A bunch of now retired players would still remember me from meeting them at practices, road trips, Grey Cup and after games. Also meet the player nights that the Argos did. I started the bbq's we used to do at practices and the players started coming up for burgers. My old Hibachi wasn't good enough so a propane grill was brought and locked up at Erindale. This was before we moved west in 02. The tradition was carrying on but I don't believe anyone does in now. We knew all the players and coaches. Some were easier to meet but all were pretty great.
We even used to buy veggie burgers for Barker.

So far this year I've heard Argonauts ads on AM 640, FAN 590 and Q107. Q107 is also running a contest for the Home Opener.

This is good, as radio is known to have a wider draw an d more effective draw than TV, an d many other advertising methods.

Global is giving away 4 tickets to this Saturday's game but I can't figure out how to enter it. The commercial says to go to www.globalnews.ca/toronto and click on the contest icon but I can't find it.

Yeah you get a lot more bang for your buck on radio compared to TV. TV advertising is expensive and overrated.

Is it a TV commercial from the Argonauts or a Promo from TSN that's airing on their sister channels? (Like CTV)

Argos. They want viewers to buy tickets.

I know a few rather large vegetarians such as Barker. He was indeed.
