It seems unlikely that concussed Emry will be available this week, but Calgary has a similar problem. Cornish is still having issues and may not play on Saturday.

After the opening game I thought we'd start the season at 0-3. Never thought we could turn things around with so many new guys in a week. Now I have faith that we can beat Calgary as we've had their number lately. First of two household battles starts this Sat. My wife wore Argo blue last week and that'll be red this Sat.

Cornish and I believe Nik Lewis were out for the home game against Calgary last year, but the Argos still lost, but that was also partially because Ricky Ray was knocked out of the game. Mo Price is out for Calgary while Cornish remains questionable I guess.

Yeah, that was a weird game. RB Jonathan Williams killed us on the ground (in his one and only CFL appearance) and Matt Walter had a good game too.

Speaking of which, this is a good chance to find out if we can stop a team that is determined to run. At the moment our strategy seems to be to get a lead in order to mask our iffy run D.

Hard to sa how this is going to go considering the Argos' roller coaster season so far and Calgary only having played 1 game. As long as the defense holds I think this will be Ricky's game to command and conquer.

With Cornish out the pressure increases on young bo levi Mitchell and if our D-Line turns up the pressure on him we are in good shape. If he gets some confidence early and is throwing darts then yikes. Even without durie, the scullers have enough depth within their receiving core for someone to get open. Love seeing Coombs get some RB1 reps but I think Steele was great last week too (and I’ve been a bit critical of him in the past). Two games in and I think our secondary needs to avoid giving up the big play and we should be able take this one. For the record I’m 0-2 in predicting whether we win or lose so far this year so take it for what it is.

I dont see the Argo's reverting back to week 1 form. This game is a 10 pt victory for the double blue...take it to the bank

Besides Cornish, Maurice Price won't be playing for Calgary either but, like us, they do have a lot of offensive depth.
Chad Kelly + Dan Adeboboye + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force

Looks like we have a few roster uncertainties.

    - Will Shea Emry play? I'd have to think that we'll err on the side of caution here, but Milanovich keeps making encouraging noises.
    - Will Jason "Clutch" Barnes play? Apparently his knee is hurting, so Sinkfield might make his CFL debut.
    - Will Dwight Anderson play? He practiced as a position player today, but it's not clear that he's ready to start. Apparently we're evaluating him both as a HB and corner.

This is true. Even in some bad years in the 90's the Argos found a way to beat a couple of very good Calgary teams. Having said that, 2 of the worst games I ever attended were 31-0 and 52-3 losses to them.

AV, the 31-0 game, that was in 1992 when The Rocket stomped on Andy McVey's head, no? What a frustrating year that was.

Yeah, that was it. I honestly believe the 52-3 game was the worst I have ever been to. It was '94. I remember Wayne Lammle kicking a 50 yard FG to give the Argos a 3-0 lead. I guess that just pissed off Flutie and the Stamps...52 consecutive points after that.

Sorry to go off topic, but with Honorable Mention going to the 51-4 drubbing the Lions gave to John Huard's squad on his final game as Argo HC in 2000....lots of armtackles on the Argos that night....

I remember being at both games despite being 5 and 7 at the time respectively.

The 1990 and 1997 teams beat up Calgary pretty good at home though.
