No and yes I understand that the Argos made the right decision with a bad situation, but I stand by my comments that it's bothersome and embarrassing at this time of the season. I'm more disappointed in Horton than anything. The team is pushing for a playoff spot, he is a decent and popular player, there must be more to it. Players should not be allowed to just quit and then go sign with a rival like the Cats before the playoffs.

The only entity that looks bad in this situation is Horton himself. I am not sure that the Ticats even have interest in Horton. Their defence is playing well and seems fairly settled finally so I doubt that they have much need for him. At this point in the season, Horton is going to have difficulty landing a starting job anywhere in the league. He may have been better off biding his time in Toronto and waiting to see if any injuries occurred which would have opened up some playing time for him.

I understand your disappointment in Horton, but he made his bed and he has to lie in it. There is no way to prevent a guy from bailing other than suspending him, which has its own unpleasant implications. It's cleaner to say adios to someone who is not even close to a core player. If he goes to the Ticats, so be it. Isaac went to the Cats last season, causing an outcry on this forum. He did little to help the Cats, ended up out of football, and some of us felt his removal was best for the Argos (addition by subtraction). Will Horton make out better? We'll see, but I am not holding my breath.
I liked Horton in many plays ..... I don't watch the Defense with a critical eye though.
With the group of releases and players leaving I wonder how much influence DA had on attitude? Just a thought .... No evidence.
Horton never saw the active roster after Jon Cornish had a field day in the 2nd half of that Calgary come back. Coaches must have thought a change had to be made there. Enter Greg Jones who has looked great along side Emry.
Disappointed to hear about Horton. I didn't find out until I heard it on the TSN Radio pre-game show. Seems like the roster is in a stat of continuous flux this season. Hope Horton doesn't come back to hurt us down the stretch by making a big play against us.

That vine was a pretty good play.
I think we've (quietly) entered the expanded PR period, judging by the calendar and the fact that Hamilton now has 13 players on their practice roster. Presumably we can expect to see a few guys brought in for late season looks. It would be nice to see a few receivers brought in; I'm not convinced that we've found a long-ish term solution at boundary WR. Brazill will probably be back in the NFL next year, it isn't clear whether Chiles will ever return to form, and does anyone think Adams or Fayson will be the answer?

I recall Butler being with the team briefly during TC before he retired. I like the fact the team signed a big DL in Cummings...maybe he could help out where IR residents Kyle Moore & Marcus Thomas have been unable to.
We signed WR Mark Harrison to the PR today. He's probably most famous for his involvement in the "hotel room incident" at the 2013 NFL combine, but apparently had a good pre-season with the Chiefs this year.
Mark Harrison is an intriguing prospect that brings size and speed but not necessarily consistency. Hopefully, he can impress the coaching staff and get a shot to play before the end of the regular season. I would like to see him on the inside on the opposite side to Chad Owens to see what he can do.
He was also timed at 4.38 in College which is good for anybody, but exceptional for a man 6'3 230. WR/KR Surgent also has some promise, reading up on him. Hopefully they can show something. I can't get very excited about any of the new import receivers Barker brought to TC this year.
Interested to see if what Harrison can contribute in the little time left in the season. He brings athleticism, size, speed and youth. Perhaps this is a move with a little bit of an eye towards the future. At 23 years old he can potentially be a big piece moving forward if not for this season.
With his youth and size, I doubt that Harrison has given up on the NFL just yet. Hopefully he'll use this opportunity to establish some pro credentials (like Inman) rather than as a free gym membership.
I will be surprised if he gets into the lineup this season. I think that bringing him now is to have a "look-see" and lay the groundwork for him potentially returning at some point in the future. However, if the Argos can win their next three games which would render their final game meaningless, he would likely see some playing time there.
